Once the meeting was over and the nobles began to disperse, Roy followed Cecilia immediately. Without saying much, he grabbed the girl's wrist and pulled her into a quiet side hallway of the palace, away from the ears of the guards or servants.
Cecilia let Roy do everything for her. Her gaze remained calm. She could already roughly guess what Roy would say to her after what he did in the throne room.
"Are you crazy, Prince Cecilion?"
Roy's voice sounded rough, unlike his usual quiet nature. Cecilia didn't say anything for a while. Her eyes stared at Roy, who looked angry before she spoke in a calm voice.
"I'll be fine, Roy."
Roy tightened his grip on Cecilia's hand.
"You said you'll be fine even if you have to enter the area where the plague originated? Are you a god?"
"Of course, I'm not a god, Roy."
"If I were a god, I wouldn't have died dozens of times," Cecilia added only in her heart.
