As Ember escorted Aeron out of the palace, he kept staring at her strangely for seconds that stretched to minutes. It got so much that Ember had to break the silence between them.
"Is there something you've to tell me, Uncle Aeron?"
He smiled shrewdly. "I am only a few years older than you; must you be so formal?"
"No matter, you're still my uncle." Ember said matter-of-factly.
"As if one Serpentine wasn't insufferable enough, she had to give birth to a doppelgänger of herself." He commented playfully.
Ember smiled, looking forward. "How is Lady Ismeare?"
He snickered. "You only saw my mother once, but I guess she has made quite the deep impression since you ask only of her."
"Grand Aunt has an unforgettable aura." Ember said with a shrug.
