After the assassination of Crocodile, Shinra stayed on the Rainbase city, the headquarters of the Baroque Works.
Crocodile wasn't stupid; he was intelligent and wealthy.

Yet, those problems of this world aside, Shinra only wanted to become stronger, so of course, even if he had gained the power of Suna Suna no Mi, he wouldn't give up the Batto Batto no Mi, Model: Vampire.
This Devil Fruit... Shinra felt that it suited him the most, and he had many ideas about what to do after gaining its power.
