"...So this ability is actually some sort of illusion technique?" Thor thought carefully for a moment, then looked at T'Challa again.
"I've never seen illusions before, so I don't know what the kind you're referring to look like."
T'Challa explained again, "But this ability doesn't only reverse the enemy's perception of the world—it also reverses my own attacks at the same time."
"For example, if I punch you from the left, even though your vision has already inverted me, my attack will still appear completely opposite of reality in your eyes—so it'll look like it's coming from the right."
"Amazing, absolutely amazing!" Scott Lang couldn't help but exclaim. "It's not just the world flipping—everything flips."
"Interesting. Very interesting." Thor nodded repeatedly, his face full of praise. "If you're not paying attention, you'd fall for it instantly."
"No, not 'likely'—you'd fall for it one hundred percent!" Tony Stark corrected with a straight face.
In such a fully inverted world, normal people simply couldn't adapt.
This level of disruption… was practically the ultimate kind.
Once trapped inside that world, you'd basically be at T'Challa's mercy.
"But… this move shouldn't work on artificial intelligence, right?"
Tony continued, "If I hand full control of the Iron Man armor to JARVIS and remove all human interference, it shouldn't affect anything, correct?"
After all, AI doesn't have sensory perception!
"Correct." T'Challa nodded. "This move is ineffective on non-living targets."
Because ultimately, it was just mental disruption—not actual world reversal.
Even so, the move was extremely powerful. Let's be honest—how many Iron Men are there in the world?
Almost all the enemies T'Challa would face… were humans.
And obviously, Tony Stark would never attack T'Challa to begin with.
"And I'm guessing this powerful ability isn't something you can use without limit, right?" Tony added confidently.
This was the voice of experience—he'd answered enough system quizzes to know the pattern.
The system's rewards never let people ascend to the heavens instantly and become invincible.
Therefore, "Inverted World" definitely had limits.
"You guessed right, Stark. At most, I can use the Inverted World for ten seconds." T'Challa nodded.
Ten seconds wasn't the true limit—but going beyond that would cause tremendous strain. His mind would get fuzzy…
He might even collapse.
If he didn't have the Heart-Shaped Herb's power, three seconds would be pushing it.
"Ten seconds?" Captain America nodded approvingly. "That's more than enough. Inside the Inverted World, a battle can end instantly."
[Answer complete. Beginning playback of the solution!]
The system's voice interrupted their discussion, and a new video began playing on the large screen.
The first scene was inside the New York Sanctum of Kamar-Taj.
Tony Stark sat on the sofa, with Doctor Strange, Doctor Banner, and others gathered around listening to Wong's explanation.
"At the beginning of the universe, there was nothing. Then, the Big Bang flung six elemental crystals into the deepest reaches of the cosmos."
Wong was explaining the six Infinity Stones, while projecting images with magic.
"Each Infinity Stone governs one essential aspect of existence."
"Space, Reality, Power, Soul, Mind, Time."
Everyone already knew most of this, but Wong's explanation added more clarity.
"Say it again. What's his name?"
After a moment of silence, Tony looked at the group and asked.
"Thanos," Banner said heavily. "He invades planets. He does whatever he wants. He wipes out half of populations. Loki was acting on his orders. The New York invasion—that was him!"
"It seems the final battle is coming." Tony murmured.
"Banner and the others are explaining the situation to Stark. Clearly, this scene happens right after Strange invited Stark last time." Captain America commented.
No dispute there.
Banner had been teleported from the Asgardian ship by Heimdall, then Strange took him to Stark.
This scene was obviously the follow-up.
Even Tony's clothes were the same.
On screen—
Tony discussed Thanos' plan with Strange and Banner, proposed destroying the Time Stone… and was immediately rejected.
After Banner's persuasion, Tony took out his phone to call Captain America and ask about Vision's location.
Yes—at this time, Tony and Cap were estranged.
Zemo's masterplan really did a number on the Avengers.
Fortunately, because they now knew the future in advance, Bucky's issue had been resolved—Tony and Cap would never break apart again.
A huge relief.
On screen—
Just as Tony was about to dial Steve, he sensed something unusual.
"Doctor… are you moving your own hair?" Tony stared at a strand of Strange's floating hair.
"No." Strange's expression tightened. He felt it too.
And at that moment, the windows of the Sanctum vibrated, objects floating in the air.
Something was happening outside.
The group immediately headed out to investigate.
Chaos.
People were screaming and fleeing.
Tony, Strange, Banner and the rest ran against the tide—and turning a corner, their faces froze.
Because towering in the distance was a massive, mountain-sized ring-shaped spaceship.
An alien ship.
Speak of the devil—ten minutes ago they were discussing Thanos, and now his people were here.
They hurried toward the ship.
SHUA!
A pale-blue beam descended from it.
Two aliens materialized in front of them.
"It's them!"
In front of the screen, Tony pointed hard. These two were exactly who everyone had guessed—the same two who had followed Thanos on the Asgardian ship.
"That skinny one can manipulate objects at will," Tony said. "He's strong."
"He looks strong." Scott nodded.
"Rejoice, for you should be grateful!" Ebony Maw began his long-winded speech.
Just like on the Asgardian ship—prattling on like some cosmic MLM cult preacher about how being killed is an honor granted by Thanos.
"You will die at the hands of the mighty children of Thanos! Be grateful—your meaningless lives will contribute to—"
"Sorry, Earth is closed today!" Tony cut him off instantly. "Pack your things and get lost!"
"Guardian of the Stone… can this chattering creature speak for you?" Ebony Maw asked Strange with clear irritation.
"Absolutely not. I speak for myself." Strange stepped forward, conjuring two magic shields. "You're not welcome in this city, or on this planet."
"Translation: get lost, Squidward." Tony added.
"'Squidward.'"
Everyone watching went speechless.
Stark's nickname-giving talent never missed. Random, yet laser-accurate. Absolutely artistic.
"He irritates me." Ebony Maw sighed, then casually ordered, "Cull Obsidian, bring me the stone."
Cull Obsidian hefted his massive hammer and marched forward.
"Banner, you want to take this one?" Tony asked.
"Not really." Banner sighed. "But when have I ever gotten what I wanted?"
He tried transforming—but his face went red, veins bulging… and Hulk still refused to come out.
"Buddy, you're embarrassing me in front of the wizards." Tony muttered.
"Sorry, Tony. I can't. He just… doesn't want to come out." Banner said helplessly.
"Banner can't transform?" Thor exclaimed in shock.
The older participants were just as surprised—this was new to everyone.
"No wonder…" Strange said, suddenly understanding. "No wonder in the Wakanda battle and when Thor cut off Thanos' head, Banner was wearing armor—he must've already been unable to transform!"
"But why?" Cap asked instinctively.
Unfortunately, even Banner didn't know, so no one else could answer it.
"Maybe he got scared? Last time he transformed was the time Thanos beat him senseless." Tony guessed.
It was possible… but no one could confirm it.
BOOM—BOOM—BOOM!!
The ground shook as Cull Obsidian charged like a living mountain.
Tony didn't panic—he walked forward calmly, tapping the triangular arc reactor on his chest.
Nanoparticles burst out instantly—
Forming a slick, dazzling suit of armor around him.
The Nano Armor appeared in an instant.
"Nano-armor! That's nano-armor! Holy—Stark, your future armor uses nanotech? That's insane!" Scott shouted.
Even T'Challa's eyes flashed.
The nano Black Panther suit was something Wakanda wanted too, but the tech wasn't mature—Shuri was developing it.
Seeing Tony master it wasn't surprising though. His talent made anything possible.
On screen—
Just as Iron Man finished equipping, Cull Obsidian swung his enormous hammer down.
Tony raised his hand; a red energy shield materialized, blocking the blow.
BANG!
Tony punched back, forcing Cull Obsidian several steps away.
Then he extended both hands.
At the same time, several crescent-shaped devices flew off his armor, hovering behind him.
Each glowed brightly—
Firing beams that blasted into Cull Obsidian.
The brute was blown back hard—like a cannonball—straight toward Ebony Maw.
But Ebony Maw simply gestured, redirecting him mid-air—
SLAM!
Cull Obsidian crashed into a car, flattening it.
