Chapter 70 - Synthesis of a New Element

"I'll think about it after I've really solved the palladium poisoning problem."

Iron Man didn't take the matter too seriously. After exchanging pleasantries with Nick Fury, he left the secret base.

He returned to Stark Tower.

"Sir! Welcome back!"

Jarvis was as enthusiastic and polite as ever, like a loyal servant.

Iron Man, however, couldn't be bothered with Jarvis and instead eagerly took out a Mark 7 Armor.

Then, according to the information in his mind, he attempted to put the Mark 7 Armor into a Universal Capsule.

Whoosh!

His vision blurred, and Iron Man found that the Mark 7 Armor in front of him had disappeared.

Iron Man's eyes couldn't help but light up slightly. After taking a deep breath, he picked up the Universal Capsule and tossed it onto the ground.

Boom!

A cloud of dust erupted, and the Iron Man armor reappeared before him.

"Amazing!"

Even a top scientist like Iron Man couldn't help but click his tongue in amazement. The technology involved in this Universal Capsule was something even he couldn't fathom at the moment.

Since he'd verified that the Universal Capsule actually worked, Iron Man wasted no time. He immediately packed a set of Mark 7 Armor into the capsule.

As he'd anticipated, he fashioned the Universal Capsule into a pendant and hung it around his neck. It was perfect.

This perfectly solved the previously impossible problem of carrying his Iron Man armor with him at all times.

"Sir, you have a visitor. It's Agent Hill, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who has been here before."

After fiddling with the Universal Capsule for a while, Jarvis suddenly spoke up.

"Let them in," Iron Man ordered without turning around. It was obvious that Nick Fury had sent something.

Iron Man was also very curious about what Howard had left for him.

Soon, Iron Man saw it: a vintage suitcase with Howard Stark's name printed on it.

Upon opening it, he found some Arc Reactor blueprints and other related materials.

Tony scanned them with a blank expression, not particularly interested. He had already mastered the knowledge in those documents long ago.

Finally, Tony started playing the videotape in the suitcase.

It was all Howard's introduction to the Stark Expo. Iron Man was equally sleepy, because it was completely useless.

Just when Iron Man had given up all hope, a voice suddenly attracted his attention: "Tony!"

It was Howard's voice from the video. Iron Man couldn't help but raise his head and look at the video again.

"You're still young now, so I recorded this for you in advance. All of this is what I built for you!"

"One day you will understand that this represents more than just human invention; it's also the achievement of my life. This is the key to the future!"

"I am limited by the technology of this era, but one day you will understand all of this, and then you will change the world."

"And my greatest creation will always be... you!"

The video ended there.

Iron Man in front of the screen was stunned, his eyes were also a little moist. All of this was so unexpected for him.

All along, Iron Man had thought that his father didn't love him at all. But at this moment, Iron Man realized that he was so wrong.

Nick Fury was right; even though he was Howard's son, he didn't truly understand his father.

After some time, Iron Man regained his composure and fell into deep thought.

Nick Fury had confidently told him that the things Howard left behind could help him solve his palladium poisoning. However, the truth was that Iron Man was completely baffled.

He had watched the video, examined the Arc Reactor blueprints, and read Howard's notes. Still, he hadn't gained any useful information.

"Only I have the intelligence and resources to accomplish this. What exactly is Howard trying to tell me?" Iron Man pondered.

And then… he got stuck in a rut.

However, Iron Man wasn't one to give up easily. He didn't let a temporary setback stop him.

Over the next week, Iron Man threw himself into the study of these materials, neglecting food and sleep.

Until he was watching Howard's video for the twentieth time or so, his gaze unintentionally fell upon the model of the Stark Expo on it.

A flash of inspiration suddenly struck.

Iron Man sat up straight in a flash.

"No way?"

Iron Man's eyes couldn't help but widen.

He really couldn't contain the excitement in his heart, and immediately called Pepper: "Pepper, I remember you have a model of the Stark Expo in your office, right? Bring it over to me right away! I have a big use for it!"

"Stark? You mean those models? Why did you suddenly think of those models? What do you need them for?"

Pepper asked, a little bewildered, "I'm very busy right now... You've dumped all the company's affairs on me."

"Pepper, this is important! Get it sent over here immediately!" Iron Man didn't elaborate to Pepper, instead urging her on.

Although she didn't know what Iron Man was up to this time, hearing his urgent tone, Pepper immediately summoned Happy.

Following Iron Man's instructions, the models were delivered to Stark Tower.

After getting the models, Iron Man immediately sent away everyone else, shutting himself alone in the room and eagerly beginning his experiment.

"Jarvis, please create a digital model based on this model. I need an interactive projection!"

With Iron Man's command, clumps of blue light began to surge. Jarvis quickly scanned the model and established a complete projection.

Iron Man immediately enlarged the projection, spreading it throughout the room. An idea he'd had in his mind was further confirmed.

"What does this look like?" Iron Man said confidently to himself, answering his own question, "It looks like an atom."

"And the atomic nucleus... is right here!"

Iron Man's gaze landed on a large globe model.
