Chapter 191 - Chapter 191: Final Gift and Six Months Later

After the removable drive was connected Alex immediately opened his E drive.

Besides the files he had copied such as the Sacred Heart Art and sword knowledge Alex's E drive itself contained a wealth of knowledge he had acquired over the years. It was not very large though and naturally contained much of the knowledge he had learned in school. This included mathematics, physics, science and chemistry. Alex examined the knowledge finding it was only acquired up to high school level so it was not very deep. The storage was not large either totaling only 6GB.

Alex copied everything and pasted it into the Moon Worshiper's E drive.

The speed of the copying process was directly proportional to Alex's strength. With his current level of power the 6GB copy was not a long process. It was completed in just a few minutes.

A few minutes seemed like a very long time for someone whose heart had been pierced even for the Moon Worshiper's robust vitality.

The Moon Worshiper's face was a deathly gray devoid of any trace of life. If it were not for a lingering urge to see what Mister Alex's final gift was he might have already died.

As the replication was complete a flood of knowledge suddenly flooded his mind. This sudden surge of knowledge made his eyes brighten. He seemed to glow with a stronger aura and his pale face became rosier.

Mathematical equations of one variable, two variables, geometric figures...

Physics of optics and mechanics, various physics formulas including the specific data for gravitational acceleration...

Chemistry of various chemical reactions, displacement reactions and finally photosynthesis, natural wonders and geography...

Though 6GB was a small file it contained a vast amount of fundamental knowledge. This sudden influx of knowledge was like an epiphany and the Moon Worshiper instantly grasped a vast amount of information.

"This... so this is the gift you gave me Mister Alex? Thank you so much..." Carefully absorbing the knowledge in his mind the Moon Worshiper looked at Alex. His eyes were filled with gratitude. He spoke weakly while repeatedly thanking Alex.

"If I could hear the truth in the morning I could die in the evening. Before I die Mister Alex you have given me this epiphany and understanding of this knowledge. I die without regrets. It is a pity that I did not meet Mister Alex earlier in my life. Otherwise I would have loved to follow you for the rest of my life."

Beyond gratitude the Moon Worshiper stared at Alex intently. His eyes were filled with longing and regret.

He seemed to imagine following Alex's side discussing and studying this scientific knowledge together. Without another breath the longing expression on the Moon Worshiper's face froze completely. His breathing stopped completely. The Moon Worshiper was dead but his passing was very peaceful.

As he said "If I could hear the truth in the morning I could die in the evening." Knowing the simple physics and chemistry knowledge in Alex's mind before his death the Moon Worshiper felt no regrets.

"Alas what a pity! How wonderful it would be if you were born in the modern world of technology..."

Seeing the Moon Worshiper's breath fade away Alex knew he was dead. He sighed inwardly while feeling sorry for him.

...

Six months passed in a flash. Alex sat alone atop Mount Shushan entering a meditative state. Amplified by the power of the Mind Stone his mental strength had reached a high level.

A new round of training concluded. Alex opened his eyes and carefully measured his crystal points with a crystal meter. A number appeared before him:

525!

Looking at his crystal points Alex nodded silently.

For the past six months Alex had spent most of his time in meditation. A magician's mental power naturally improves rapidly and with the added benefit of the Mind Stone his crystal points had already surpassed the 500 mark.

"Daddy Daddy give me a drink..." A joyful elf-like cry echoed from a distance drawing Alex's attention.

Following the sound he saw Anu pestering the Drunken Sword Immortal for a sip of his gourd.

"Alas you cannot drink this! You are still young!" The Drunken Sword Immortal shook his head while holding the gourd high in his hand.

Although the Drunken Sword Immortal seemed troubled by his mischievous daughter his expression suggested amusement.

"Hmph if you do not give me a drink I will go find Tang Yu to take me out!" Anu pouting and unable to grab the gourd from the Drunken Sword Immortal's hand whispered.

"No! Do not go drinking with that kid!" Upon hearing Anu's words the Drunken Sword Immortal's face darkened.

In his heart his daughter was a perfectly good cabbage and Tang Yu was a wild boar trying to steal it. Anu and that kid were going out drinking? If they both drank too much the consequences would be disastrous.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh!

Elsewhere in the martial arts arena Liu Jinyuan and Li Xiaoyao were discussing swordsmanship.

Li Xiaoyao was more talented but Liu Jinyuan was a bit more knowledgeable in the art of swordsmanship. With the occasional sword demonstration their relationship seemed harmonious.

"Hey Ling'er go back and rest! You just finished your confinement period and cannot be out in the wind" Li Xiaoyao said as he noticed Zhao Ling'er staring at him from a distance. He hurried over with concern.

Yes six months had passed and Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er's daughter was already born.

Sword Saint Yin Ruozhe stood quietly in the main hall observing everything outside. His expression was calm but the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

Although he had been somewhat confused about the path of compassion and the path of ruthlessness before, he acknowledged the existence of the path of compassion through the events of Nanzhao Kingdom.

Looking at the bustling scene on Mount Shushan at this moment the Sword Saint felt very relieved. It seemed that this was not bad at all.

Alex sat quietly on the top of Mount Shushan watching as these people seemed to have found their own happiness. A smile appeared on his face.

With his intervention at least most of the people got a perfect ending. This made Alex feel that it was meaningful to travel through the plane of The Legend of Sword and Fairy.

He looked down and saw that the computer pattern on his palm was almost finished charging.

Suddenly a graceful figure walked toward Alex. It was Lin Yueru...
