"Chairman!!!"
Panic spread among the employees as they rushed to greet him, scattering like startled birds.
Henry didn't say a word, merely making his way to his office. Helen had returned ahead of him, diligently printing documents. Leaning slightly over the desk, her attractive curves drew his attention—her plump behind invoked tantalizing thoughts, and he felt a surge of impulsiveness.
"Helen..." Henry called out.
"Yes, Chairman, what's on your mind?"
"Oh, it's nothing... Um, would you be able to make me another cup of coffee, please?" Though he intended to inquire about her connection with the son of Xinrui Technology's chairman, the words hesitated on his lips.
After settling into his chair, Henry stole glances at Helen Wheeler, realizing that she had transformed remarkably into a stunning and captivating figure over the past few months. It wasn't surprising that she was pursued by others. Yet, the thought that she might soon be taken by someone else gnawed at him.
"Chairman, here's your coffee!"
"Thank you," he replied, sampling the drink.
"Chairman, are you… worried? You seem a bit on edge..."
"Oh no, not at all. What could possibly worry me?" Henry feigned surprise, trying to dismiss her concerns.
"If so, I'll head back to work," Helen said as she glanced back at him, hesitant as though she were still harboring thoughts.
Not fully comprehending Helen's expression, Henry waved her off. "You're welcome to leave. I'll just call you if I need anything."
"Alright then!" Helen nodded, though hesitatingly before she pivoted to exit.
After Helen's departure, Henry began to ponder her unusual demeanor.
Around noon, he accidentally overheard a conversation among several employees and felt a sudden weight of concern.
"Alyssa, did you hear this morning? The son of the chairman from the cutting-edge technology company upstairs sent a huge bouquet of roses to our chairman's secretary, Helen Wheeler!"
"What?! The chairman's son from Xinrui Technology is pursuing Helen Wheeler?!!!"
"That's exactly right! I even caught him confessing to Helen earlier!"
"Oh, what a fortunate turn of events for Helen Wheeler! Not only is she the personal secretary of our genius chairman, but now she's also drawing the interest of the chairman's son from Xinrui Technology!"
"Who would you say has the upper hand—our chairman or Xinrui's heir?"
"It's obvious that ours has the advantage! At such a young age, he's accumulated hundreds of millions in assets, a rare accomplishment!"
"Assets don't guarantee love. Our chairman might feel indifferent toward Helen. If I were in her shoes, I'd rather chase the son of Xinrui Technology than wait around endlessly!"
"True, I can see the logic you present!"
"The son of Xinrui's chairman has declared his admiration. Think Helen would reciprocate?"
Just as the female employee was set to respond, a surprised voice called out, "Hello, Chairman." They turned their heads to find Henry standing nearby, having overheard their chatter...
