Okay, let's deal with things in order of importance, otherwise there's a greater chance of me dying from some stupidity of mine than being killed by whatever's coming.
The goblins each left a stone and the stone dagger they wore, as well as a necklace that was clearly useless in this situation, but the daggers were clearly superior to the shards, both in durability and lethality.
I grabbed them both and ran back into the house as quickly as I could, heading straight for the nearest room, my older sister's old room.
I did so just as I saw a group of three wolves appear from the left, the same place the goblins had come from. Considering I'd killed two goblins and sucked the blood from one of them, there shouldn't have been much to scare me about.
But still, wolves that look like they're made of shadows and one with chains?! And spitting out what looked like embers from their snouts, that's not something you can be indifferent to, right?!!!!.
If I'm not mistaken, these monsters are (depending on where you look) called Bargest, a kind of demonic dog like Hellhounds and Cerberus. While the other two appeared to be simply shadow wolves, they sniffed around in front of the house for a bit and soon spotted the pools of blood from the goblins with the cores and the collar.
The Bargest leaped over the railing of the outer gate and headed toward some rocks, the other two quickly following. Seeing them, I remember something about the goblins I had just killed: they looked tired and injured.
Of course, I only caught a quick glimpse of them through the reflection of a shard of glass, and I only really got a good look at one of them when it tried to stab me.
However, another strange fact (which I've come to consider the most normal aspect since waking up) was that I could remember it in detail. And reviewing their appearance in my memory, I realized they also seemed alert, as if fleeing from something.
In fact, the one that tried to stab me had some claw-like scratches and wounds that looked like they'd been made by fire, just like the Bargests' "breath."
So can I conclude that these Bargests were after the goblins to eat them? But they disappeared right after I killed them, how did they intend to eat them?
The answer came quickly: the Bargest went straight to one of the rocks and ate it. He then used one of the chains around him to break the other, obviously for the other two.
But before they could get close to the rock, the orange tree behind the lake (which was just another large pool my father built), and just in front of where I "fought" the goblins, seemed to come to life and literally threw the lead wolf back into the street over the bars.
Before the other two could understand what had happened, the orange tree leaves detached and rained down on them like razor blades. Despite being covered by shadows and currents, they ended up quite injured, not fatally, considering they got up and charged toward the orange tree with their mouths wide open, flames and a black mist ready to pour out.
But again, before they could do anything, from within the "lake" just below the orange tree, something appeared to be a tentacle that wrapped around the wolf on the right and pulled it in. From my hiding place, I could only hear the water churning and the wolf's howls, and then nothing.
At the same time, the wolf on the left was thrown into the street by the orange tree. It was only when it hit the sidewalk that I realized the first wolf was gone.
...No, it didn't disappear. Near the curb, I saw a rock a little bigger than the goblins', but that one had a purple or violet glow, while the goblin's was red like a tomato and had no shine whatsoever. But how was the first wolf defeated so quickly and without me noticing?
If I could hear goblins jumping over the kitchen gate, shouldn't I have been able to hear it die? And besides, it hadn't been long since it was thrown into the street. It must have only been about three or four seconds between them.
Shortly after the second thrown wolf got up, a sphere of light appeared out of nowhere from the right, followed shortly after by what looked like a sphere of... water?
Both hit the wolf hard; there was no explosion of light, or sonic boom, or anything like that. The two spheres only hit, and the wolf let out an anguished whimper as it bled and soon died. It was enveloped in a light, just like the goblins, and disappeared.
Leaving behind another stone, this one slightly larger than the goblins' but smaller than the one in the middle of the street, though it also had a purple glow.
Obviously, I didn't have much time to appreciate the beauty of the stones; something was heading toward them very quickly. Another ball of light appeared, but not like the sphere that had hit the wolf.
This ball of light was slightly larger and had a greenish glow with a yellow center, and if I could trust my vision (which I've already proven I could), it also left a trail of glitter that quickly disappeared.
Anyone who's seen old Disney movies, or at least Peter Pan, already knows what kind of creature this one probably was: a pixie or simply a fairy.
Personally I prefer Pixie, anyway this Pixie approached the two rocks and instead of picking them up like I thought she would, the rocks simply disappeared when she got close, after that she flew to the pond and walked around it, also circling the orange tree and said.
"You gluttonus, aren't the cores we gave you earlier today enough? If you grow any bigger, we won't have anywhere to put you, do you realize that?"
The sphere of light said, slightly irritated, toward the lake, or more specifically, toward the creature (monster) that had made the little lake its home, probably after eating all the fish.
"Thanks for your help, Pomo. I think things would have been more complicated without you here. I'll ask Father to give you a bigger one today."
She said to the orange tree, and it seemed happy. I say this because the orange tree started to vibrate (?), something very strange to see. And the worst part was that one of the branches moved and seemed to point in my direction. No, it didn't seem like it, it really was pointing in my direction.
"Huh, are you serious?", I heard Pixie say and come towards me, before I could do anything she was practically in my face and I could get a good look at her, and I couldn't help but be shocked, since that Pixie…
"It's about time you showed up, right? Dad and I were already betting on when you'd wake up Sleeping Beauty. This time you set a record no one will ever be able to beat, haha."
It was definitely, and without a doubt, my little sister in a Barbie-sized version, with Tinker Bell wings.
