10:00 AM
Yae Miko appeared at the Kamisato Estate.
The moment he saw her, Kamisato Takayuki, who had just returned from a meeting, inwardly cursed. Why is she here again?!
Just as he was about to turn and leave, Yae Miko spotted him.
"Lord Kamisato, why the displeased look?" she asked, her voice laced with amusement.
"Not at all!"
Years in politics had taught him the art of masking his emotions. A bright smile spread across the old man's face, his tone dripping with sincerity.
"Lady Guuji, you are the one who prays for the people's blessings. They say those who draw near to you are touched by fortune and favored by the gods. How could I possibly be displeased?"
Absolute nonsense!
If he were genuinely happy to see Yae Miko, he might as well be seeing a ghost.
"Is that so?"
Yae Miko smiled, her expression unreadable.
She already knew everything about Kamisato Takayuki's misdeeds.
But there was no rush to deal with him.
Didn't he wish to witness the Musou no Hitotachi?
Fine. Let Ei grant him that wish—with a single, casual slash.
After all, even a basic attack from Ei would still be the Musou no Hitotachi.
Though… wouldn't that be letting him off too lightly?
Shaking off the thought, she asked, "Where's Kujou Sara?"
"You're looking for Sara?"
Kamisato Takayuki raised an eyebrow.
Ah, so she's not here for money. That was a relief.
"I'll have her summoned immediately."
Sara wasn't at the front lines but was instead overseeing military training. Fortunately, the Tenryou Commission's barracks weren't far.
Within minutes, Kujou Sara arrived.
"Lady Guuji!" Sara saluted, her tone neutral.
Yae Miko studied her.
Another loyal fool.
Loyalty was commendable, but blind, inflexible devotion could be frustrating.
She'd be better suited serving that rigid puppet Shogun.
After all, she was just as dense.
Suppressing her thoughts, Yae Miko said, "Find us a quiet place. We need to talk."
Sara was taken aback.
What could be so important that it requires privacy?
"Go ahead," Kamisato Takayuki said after a brief hesitation.
To him, Sara was the epitome of loyalty—unwavering in her devotion to both the Shogun and the Kamisato Clan, though the former took precedence.
He wasn't worried about Yae Miko manipulating Sara to harm the clan's interests.
Inside a secluded room.
"What did you wish to discuss, Lady Guuji?" Sara asked.
"I've been documenting the youkai of Inazuma. As someone with tengu blood, you naturally qualify."
Yae Miko produced The Chronicles of the Wild, flipping through its pages casually in front of Sara.
The entries were records of various youkai she had compiled before arriving at the Kamisato Estate.
Even I'm listed here?
Sara was surprised to see names like the Thunder Manifestation—legendary beings thought to be myths.
"Must the records be this detailed?" she asked.
The abilities of the youkai listed were described in great depth.
"You may omit anything you'd rather not disclose," Yae Miko replied.
A general overview would suffice.
"Very well."
Sara nodded and recorded her well-known abilities.
As Yae Miko finished with a stroke of her brush, the page shimmered—not with Sara's likeness, but with the full-blooded form of the tengu lineage.
Feeling The Chronicles of the Wild grow slightly stronger, Yae Miko smiled.
"That's all. No further business."
"You're…?" Sara wanted to ask more but shook her head. "Then I'll return to training."
"Go on~"
Yae Miko was in high spirits.
She soon left the Kamisato Estate.
Meanwhile, Kamisato Takayuki sank into deep thought.
What was that about?
Just documenting the tengu lineage?
Something's off.
Those in power often had sharp instincts.
Kamisato Takayuki sensed something unusual in Yae Miko's actions.
But no one could decipher her true intentions.
And that was unsettling.
11:00 AM
Yae Miko moved swiftly, traveling as a streak of lightning.
She had already recorded all the remaining youkai in Inazuma.
A single entry might not grant overwhelming power, but in numbers, the effect became significant.
"Now, to draw Ei out."
Storming the Tenshukaku was out of the question.
The palace was a masterpiece—why damage it and incur repair costs?
Instead, Yae Miko headed for the stormy seas near Inazuma's borders.
As a powerful youkai, she could stand effortlessly on the ocean's surface.
This location, dozens of kilometers from land, was perfect—any battle here wouldn't harm the economy.
She summoned a multifunctional drone equipped with AI for automatic recording.
Once the fight began, she wouldn't have time to adjust the camera.
[Yae Miko]: Mr. Lu, I'm about to start the stream. Time to beat up Ei~
Lu Heng, who had been mindlessly scrolling through short videos all morning, perked up.
The show's about to begin!
He immediately replied.
A minute later, Yae Miko sent him a link.
Clicking it revealed her standing on the ocean's surface.
"Can you see this?" she asked.
[Lu Heng]: Loud and clear!
Lu Heng noticed he was the only viewer in the stream.
Yae Miko wouldn't have bothered broadcasting if he hadn't mentioned it.
"Can I share your stream?" he typed.
"Go ahead, but don't spread it too widely."
"Don't worry, it'll just be among familiar faces."
"Good. Then let's begin."
As soon as she finished speaking, the tranquil sea behind her erupted.
A sandstorm, carrying countless grains of dust, howled into existence.
The winds intensified, darkening the sky in an instant.
The endless yellow sand blotted out the sun.
Amid the gloom, a pair of crimson eyes flickered ominously.
A colossal figure, standing tens of thousands of meters tall, loomed within the storm.
Its silhouette resembled an impenetrable wall—or an unshakable mountain.
A single glance was enough to inspire terror.
"ROAR—!"
The Blackwind Demonic Bear, its black fur bristling with savage energy, stomped on the ocean's surface and let out a deafening roar.
The sound, like thunder, reverberated across the waters.
Its oppressive aura sent schools of fish fleeing in panic.
Tenshukaku
The Raiden Shogun's eyes snapped open.
Lightning crackled in her gaze.
She turned toward the distant disturbance.
"An unknown god?"
If this had happened elsewhere, it wouldn't concern eternity.
But this presence was just dozens of kilometers from Narukami Island!
It slipped past the thunderstorm undetected?
The Shogun rose to her feet.
BOOM!
A pillar of lightning, thick as a tower, erupted from the Tenshukaku into the heavens.
The sheer force of it drew the eyes of every citizen below.
Even from dozens of kilometers away, the blinding pillar was unmistakable.
Dark clouds gathered overhead, thunder rumbling ominously.
The aura of an Archon—supreme and terrifying—blanketed the land.
Even on Watatsumi Island, the pressure was palpable.
"It's starting," Gorou murmured, a hint of excitement in his voice.
Sangonomiya Kokomi glanced toward the disturbance before turning away.
The gods…
That level of power was beyond mortal comprehension.
Yet in this new era, humans could approach—even surpass—the divine.
"What's happening?!" Kamisato Takayuki gasped.
The lightning pillar was anything but normal!
The thunderclaps above sounded like the Shogun's wrath incarnate.
The divine might radiating from the sky was suffocating, as if the heavens themselves bore down upon the world.
Who could have provoked the Shogun to this extent?!
CRACK!
The darkened sky split as a violet bolt streaked across the horizon, vanishing in an instant.
In the blink of an eye, the Raiden Shogun stood high above the ocean.
Gripping her naginata, she glared at the Blackwind Demonic Bear shrouded in the sandstorm.
Spotting Yae Miko perched atop the beast's head, she frowned.
"Yae Miko. What is the meaning of this?"
"Now's not the time for chatter~ Save it for after the fight."
The Shogun wouldn't listen now anyway.
Better to settle this with force first!
Yae Miko raised The Chronicles of the Wild, its pages flipping rapidly.
The Blackwind Demonic Bear's already formidable aura surged even higher.
"Go."
With her command, the beast lunged.
Yae Miko stepped back, hovering midair.
"ROAR—!"
The bear's roar materialized into a shockwave.
Its massive paw swung at the Shogun with crushing force.
Though Yae Miko's motives were unclear, this monstrosity was an affront to eternity.
And exceptions could not be tolerated.
The Shogun scoffed, raising her blade.
Lightning coalesced, as if splitting the darkened world with a single slash, illuminating the battlefield.
Divine energy erupted, slowing time across dozens of kilometers.
Her strike carved a vicious wound into the bear's paw.
The collision of their powers tore through space itself.
Holy—!
The Traveler in the story only won by sheer luck, huh?
If Ei went all out… the Traveler would be lucky to leave a corpse behind.
Lu Heng immediately forwarded the stream to Lumine.
Two seconds later, she joined.
Thirty seconds passed.
[Lumine]: …
[Lumine]: That's the Raiden Shogun?
[Lu Heng]: As you can see, yes…
"Wha—?!"
You mean the woman who can unleash dozens of slashes in an instant—the one I supposedly defeated—is this strong?!
"Holy—!"
Lumine tugged at her hair. This is insane!
"Huh? What's going on?"
Paimon, groggy from sleep, floated over.
One glance at the screen, and she jolted awake.
Girl, why are you watching horror movies right after waking up?!
"Gulp."
Paimon swallowed hard. "That's… the Raiden Shogun?"
Lumine didn't answer, only nodding.
"Then we got really lucky…" Paimon scratched her head.
Did you think wielding three elements would let you fight a god?
Wrong!
Dead wrong!
Three elements might not even be enough to beat Osial's wife, let alone the Raiden Shogun—one of the most powerful Archons!
"If it weren't for Yae Miko and the people's wishes… we'd be so dead," Lumine muttered.
"Like, instantly dead."
Paimon shook her head vigorously.
This Shogun was terrifying.
One moment she's in front of you—the next, she's behind you, blade already at your neck.
Absolutely ridiculous!
The Blackwind Demonic Bear wasn't a pushover either.
The only thing holding it back was the limitations of Yae Miko's equipment.
But that wasn't a major issue.
Though the bear seemed outmatched, the Shogun couldn't kill it.
This wasn't just any youkai—it was a conceptual entity beyond Teyvat's understanding.
Like how Liyue's "adepti" weren't the same as the immortal sages of cultivation tales!
Yae Miko's summon wasn't an illusion—it was flesh and blood.
Meaning the Shogun was facing a full-fledged boss:
High attack and defense.Massive health pool.Unique skill set.And a brutal, sandstorm-based debuff zone.
Each drop of the bear's blood sizzled as it hit the ocean.
The Shogun landed another strike, but the damage was minimal.
She frowned.
What is Yae Miko plotting?
Perhaps it was time to let her true self handle this.
The Shogun retreated, closed her eyes, and reopened them—now filled with confusion.
"Miko, what are you doing?"
Ei stared at the bloodied but still energetic bear, then at Yae Miko, utterly baffled.
What even is this thing?
It had taken thousands of slashes and still wouldn't die!
Meanwhile, thanks to her speed, she remained unharmed.
But if this dragged on, it'd become a battle of attrition.
Where did Miko even find this monster?
And why are we fighting?
"Ei, look at me closely."
Yae Miko grinned.
"Huh?"
Ei studied her intently. "Why should I—"
WHAM!
Before she could finish, the bear's massive fist slammed into her, sending her crashing into the sea.
BOOM!
Divine energy erupted from the water as Ei resurfaced, slightly disheveled but otherwise unfazed—her puppet body was built to endure.
She hovered in the air again, bewildered.
"Miko, why did you attack me?"
"Just delivering a punch to the 'best friend' who abandoned me," Yae Miko said dryly.
"?"
Ei frowned. "When did I abandon you?"
"Tch."
Yae Miko scoffed. "Who was it that shut herself away and gave me the silent treatment?"
"…What?"
Ei was lost.
Since when does she talk in riddles?
[Lu Heng]: Perfect!
[Lumine]: Yes! Now make her cry!
"Let me repeat what I said that day," Yae Miko declared. "The world outside has changed!"
"That again?"
Ei sighed. "I'm aware."
"You don't believe me?"
"I do," Ei said, eyeing the restless bear. "But it still pales before eternity."
Yae Miko laughed bitterly.
"Eternity, eternity! It's always about your eternity!"
"What has your eternity done besides hurt your people?!"
"Can your eternity protect Inazuma in this new age?!"
"Can your eternity bring Makoto back to life?!"
Ei's expression shattered.
"Wait… what did you say?!"
"Can your eternity bring Makoto back?" Yae Miko repeated slowly.
"Then what you're saying is—"
Ei's pupils constricted.
Yae Miko fell silent.
She had always excelled at leaving people in suspense.
