Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Shihouin Yoruichi's Figure

"Whoa, is that a cat!?"

Even though Nanaya was distracted, his Mangekyō Sharingan gave him super-sharp senses. Without even thinking, he reached out and grabbed the creature.

Smack!

He caught a small black cat that had jumped at him.

"Huh? It's you!" Nanaya realized it was the black cat, Yoruichi. He smiled and casually placed her on the table.

"Did you show up because you could tell I was in a bad mood?"

He started petting her, rubbing her soft belly and feeling his irritation fade away.

Yoruichi, now stuck in cat form, flailed her little paws in protest:

"Meow meow meow…"

She looked at Nanaya with frustration and helplessness. But as a cat, she couldn't do much to fight back.

"Aw, what a cute kitty!"

Orihime Inoue came running over. She scooped Yoruichi up in her arms and happily started stroking her fur.

"Meow…"

Yoruichi gave a weak cry, looking at Nanaya with pleading eyes as she was nearly smothered by Orihime's overly enthusiastic hug.

"Don't look so miserable. Most people would love to be in your position," Nanaya said, winking at Yoruichi.

That only made her angrier. She was still a woman, after all. Being hugged like a pet by another woman was not her idea of fun.

"Nanaya, is this your cat?"

"She's so smart! When I got close, she even waved her paw like she was warning me to stay back!"

"Inoue, I think the cat really likes you…"

"…"

Eventually, Yoruichi managed to escape the chaos and leapt back onto Nanaya's table.

"Meow meow meow, meow meow meow…"

Nanaya leaned his chin on one hand, looking at her lazily. "I don't speak cat, but I can tell you're saying some really nasty stuff."

Yoruichi was so mad she could explode. She jumped onto Nanaya's shoulder and growled in a low voice:

"You little brat, don't think I've forgotten what you did to me yesterday!"

"Really? I don't remember anything like that," he said innocently.

"Meow meow meow—I swear I'll kill you!"

Just thinking about yesterday made Yoruichi's fur stand on end.

As a proud noble from Soul Society, she had been forced to walk on two legs, chase balls, do backflips, and act all cutesy…

Worse yet, she had to say humiliating things...

"Meow meow meow…"

"Come with me—to Urahara's basement," she demanded, biting onto the corner of Nanaya's clothes like she was dragging him away.

"Nope." Nanaya yawned and picked her up by the scruff, setting her back on the table.

"If I go down there, you'll probably beat me up."

"You have to come."

Nanaya thought for a second. Then a mischievous smile crept across his face as an idea popped into his head.

"Alright, I'll go—but only if you agree to one condition."

"What condition!?" Yoruichi snapped, too annoyed to care.

She was ready to agree to anything if it meant she could teach him a lesson. She could always regret it later.

"Teach me Kidō!"

When Nanaya mentioned his condition, Yoruichi paused for a second. She thought about how quickly he picked up Kidō techniques.

"…Fine. I'll teach you," she agreed.

Scene change: Urahara Shop

Nanaya and the black cat Yoruichi arrived at the Urahara shop.

Inside, Urahara Kisuke stood there shaking, his face covered in claw marks. Nanaya looked at him with concern.

"Manager Urahara, are you okay?"

Kisuke's eye twitched. He stared at Nanaya with a gloomy expression.

"Who do you think is the reason I look like this?"

Because Nanaya had escaped yesterday, Yoruichi—completely furious—had taken her anger out on Urahara instead. Remembering the pain in his face, Urahara almost wanted to cry.

What bad karma did I earn? Every time this kid shows up, something terrible happens. First my hair gets burned, now my face is shredded...

"So, what are you here to buy?" Urahara asked grumpily.

"I'm not here to shop." Nanaya pointed at the cat on his shoulder. "Miss Yoruichi wants to take me to the basement."

"Oh, right! The basement's this way!" Urahara suddenly smiled and led the way.

Not far off, Tessai, and the shop assistants, Jinta and Ururu, quietly mourned for Nanaya.

Poor guy. Yoruichi finally tricked you into going down there. Hope you make it out alive.

As Nanaya and the cat entered the basement, Urahara quickly shut the heavy door behind them.

"Quick, Tessai," Urahara whispered urgently. "Get the padlock—no, forget that. Use Bakudō spells to seal this door!"

Ururu blinked. Jinta stared blankly.

They'd worked at the shop for years… and had never seen Urahara this eager before.

"Mr. Nanaya is so doomed…"

"Think Yoruichi will kick him to death?"

Inside the basement...

Nanaya looked around in shock.

"This… is your basement?"

Instead of a typical storage room, it was a huge, empty wasteland—dusty, dry, and full of hills and jagged rocks. There was no sun, but the whole place was lit up somehow. The ground showed signs of old battles: burn marks, slash lines, cracks.

Something felt off.

He turned to look behind him—just in time to see the black cat glowing with energy, its form changing. Yoruichi shifted back into her human body. Her long black hair reached her waist, and her figure was stunning.

"…Whoa," Nanaya whispered, stunned.

But before he could admire any more, a dark blur shot out of the light:

"You brat—time to die!!"

Yoruichi's toned leg came flying toward him. It was powerful, beautiful, and deadly. All five toes were flexed from the force of the kick.

"Wha—"

BAM!

Nanaya was sent flying like a rag doll, slamming into a rocky cliff in the distance. The mountain cracked on impact. Loose stones tumbled down, half-burying him.

Groaning, he clawed his way out of the rubble.

"You witch… You're trying to mess with my mind…"

He winced. If he hadn't been distracted by her legs, he could've dodged that.

Yoruichi appeared in front of him, now fully back in human form.

"You ready now, kid?" she asked with narrowed eyes. "I'm not going easy on you."

Nanaya stared, speechless.

She was stunning—tanned skin, toned body, glowing with energy. Her figure had a wild, natural beauty. She was completely—

"Why… why aren't you wearing any clothes?!"

Nanaya stared, trying not to drool.

His heart pounded.

What is happening…?

Yoruichi blinked. "Oh! Sorry, I forgot. I've been in cat form for so long, I'm just not used to wearing clothes."

She tilted her head with a teasing grin.

"But wow, you're really that innocent? First time seeing a naked woman?"

Nanaya tried to play it cool. "W-what's the big deal, it's not like I care…"

Then—

"Uh, Nanaya…" Yoruichi pointed at his face.

"What now?"

"You've got a nosebleed."

"…"

Nanaya wiped his nose. Sure enough, red blood stained his fingers.

"This is from when you kicked me!"

"I didn't kick you in the face…"

Yoruichi smirked and finally pulled out a black short-sleeved top from… somewhere. As she casually dressed, she teased him:

"Better take one last look. A girl's skin is soft, you know. Miss this chance, and you'll stay a clueless boy forever."

Nanaya's heart thumped wildly. His eyes instinctively activated the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Just as he looked up—

Another long, elegant leg came flying straight at his face.

BOOM!!!
