Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Three
Crow barely stepped out of the auction chamber when the next announcement caught his interest.
"Special item coming up!" the auctioneer declared, voice echoing with reverence. "A one-of-a-kind Legendary Unit Equipment—Titanborn Aegis, a shield forged from celestial ore and blessed by a forgotten god!"
A magical display projected the image of the shield: black and gold with glowing runes pulsing in its core, capable of reducing incoming damage by 60% and reflecting 25% of all non-magical attacks. It even granted the user temporary invincibility for three seconds every five minutes.
Crow's heart raced. Perfect for a frontliner... maybe for Grumdir once I summon him.
He didn't hesitate. The moment bidding opened, he slammed down an absurdly high bid—far beyond what any player could afford this early.
The hall fell silent.
"Sold to bidder #73!"
As the shield vanished into his inventory, Crow smirked.
Let's see who dares touch me now.
