Chapter One Hundred and Sixty-Five
Crow didn't hesitate. As Thalgrun's challenge echoed through the cavern, Crow activated his Divine Contract—a golden circle of intricate symbols forming beneath his feet. Light surged upward, enveloping both him and the towering dwarf in radiant energy.
Thalgrun's eyes widened for a moment, surprised by the sheer authority of the contract. But then, with a rumbling laugh, he accepted.
"So be it," Thalgrun said, his voice like rolling thunder. "From now until the end of the forge's flame, I am yours."
The contract sealed with a sharp burst of divine light.
Thalgrun stepped forward without hesitation and threw a thick, armored arm over Crow's shoulder in camaraderie. "You've got the strength of a worldshaper, lad. I like that. I'll make sure your weapons burn with truth."
Ardyn's eyes widened. She immediately grabbed Crow's other arm, pressing close and glaring at Thalgrun.
Sylvanna, Liana, and Valeria watched from a distance—tension thick in the air.
