Chapter One Hundred and Fifty-Four
Crow turned to move—again.
But before he could take a single step, Liana latched onto his arm, pressing close, her voice soft and pleading.
"Please… just a little more," she whispered, her golden eyes shimmering. "I wasn't finished. I need it."
Crow sighed internally. "Liana…"
She leaned up slightly, brushing against him, her tone somewhere between sultry and sincere. "I fought, I bled, I kissed you. Doesn't that deserve… a little reward?"
Sylvanna narrowed her eyes from behind, clearly hearing every word. Elyndra raised an eyebrow, amused but saying nothing.
"...You're a primordial god," Crow said flatly.
"And even gods need affection," Liana replied, resting her head on his shoulder.
Sylvanna crossed her arms. "If she gets more, I do too."
"I as well," Elyndra chimed in calmly.
Crow pinched the bridge of his nose. "…One at a time. Five seconds each."
They didn't care about the limit.
Liana smiled like she had just conquered the world as Crow's hand reached her head again. Sylvanna stepped closer, ready to jump in the moment her turn came. Elyndra merely waited, serene and sure of her place.
And somewhere behind them, the earth rumbled faintly as Xar'Zenth sighed in its sleep.
Crow didn't know whether this was power… or punishment.
Probably both.
