Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Three
Crow didn't make it ten steps before another presence latched onto him.
"Crow," Sasha's voice rang with quiet steel, her grip around his other arm unshakable. The Divine Rank Swordswoman—the first divine he had ever recruited—rested her head against his shoulder, her silver hair brushing his jawline. "You're mine first."
Lyravex growled lowly under her breath, refusing to let go of the other arm.
Crow didn't react outwardly, but inside, he sighed. Again.
Sylvanna's eyes narrowed to shimmering slits of pure elemental wrath.
Liana blinked in disbelief. "You… swordswoman… really?"
Even Nyx, usually emotionless, twitched slightly.
Sasha's aura burned like a controlled wildfire. "I swore my sword to him before any of you. Before his army. Before his empire. I won't be pushed aside."
Aetheria fluttered slightly behind them, clearly amused.
"Cute," Lyravex said sweetly, "but he didn't pet your head first."
"I'm the first divine rank, support girl."
The other divine-ranked women stepped forward, tension building—flickering auras, narrowed stares, subtle shoves.
Crow glanced between them all—his expression neutral, but his mind razor sharp.
"Enough," he said, his voice low. One word—and the pressure vanished.
"I don't have time for this. Another SSS dungeon is spawning. Focus."
But behind him, the divine and heroic women whispered among themselves.
The war for Crow's affection had just begun.
