Chapter One Hundred and Nine
The sky cracked open as Crow raised his hand, summoning forth the colossal form of his divine dragon: Eclipse Dragon of the Endless Skies. Its wings, wide enough to blot out the sun, shimmered with threads of darkness, space, and light. A heartbeat later, another roar echoed—his Primordial Goddess, Liana, standing beside him with her ethereal glow and coy expression.
Without a word, the two stepped onto the dragon's massive back, Liana drifting just slightly closer than needed.
"So… the first Shard of Origin," Crow said, eyes locked on the horizon.
"Mmm… sounds exciting," Liana purred, brushing her fingers lightly along his arm. "But I think this flight could be more exciting, don't you?"
Crow gave her a side glance, unfazed. "Focused."
"I am focused," she whispered, her lips brushing dangerously near his ear. "Focused on you."
The dragon launched into the skies, a streak of cosmic energy trailing behind. Below, the world blurred into mist and light. They soared high above ancient mountains and forgotten ruins, heading toward the distant ruins of the First Shard.
Liana leaned in again, her head resting lightly on his shoulder.
"You may lead armies, control death, and bend time… but you're still adorable when you pretend you're not flustered."
Crow let out a small sigh, eyes narrowing toward the mission ahead.
"The shard is more important than your games."
"Who says I can't do both?" she giggled.
As the dragon roared and light bent around them, the air grew heavier with the ancient power of the shard. And while the world prepared to test Crow's strength… Liana prepared to test his patience.
Or maybe his heart.
