Chapter 5 - Lost

Klaus's POV :

"Where are they?." Klaus mumbled, wandering around the academy.

Crap. If I knew this would've happen I should've had just stayed put in that place where I lost them. To think that I only looked back for a couple of minutes since something caught my eye, and when I turned around they were gone!

It's already been a couple of minutes since I kept wandering around here. This place is so damn huge even the hallway is huge. It's like I'm walking around circles at this point since I keep coming back in this very place. I didn't even bring my phone and there's no student here that I can ask directions too.

Am I gonna be part of Lucian's history now. A ghost of a lost student wandering around the academy's hallway haunting everyone who walks there. No freaking way! There's no way I'd accept that fate!

Clank. Rattle.

Huh? What was that? It's coming from that room. Is there perhaps a student there?!. I better take a look. But wait. What if it's a ghost. I mean this situation here is similar in those horror games where you get lost in a massive hallway and comes across a eerie room where some noises could be heard outside..

Gulp.

Whatever it's now or never!.

I slightly opened the door from the room and peeked about what was inside.

Sniffle. Sob .

...

Ah. It was not a ghost. It was a student crying. Regardless he seems familiar. Isn't he that guy in our class named Sevan?. What was he doing here all alone and much more cryin—

Creek.

Crap the door creaked!.

"Who's there?!" Sevan shouted quickly wiping his tears.

"Ah. I'm sorry for disturbing you Sevan. But it's just that I got lost and.. Ehm I can't find my way back." I bit my lips in the awkwardness.

"How'd you know my name?" He asked being cautious.

"Well, I'm actually one of your classmates. Don't you remember.?" I laughed awkwardly.

"You are?. Now that I think of it you were that idiot who got late the first day of school."

"Hmp. Fine I'll lead you there. Where were you headed." He said as he sat up wiping the dust in his trousers.

I was surprised, I wasn't expecting him to actually help me. Ah I finally got to see him up close. and he looks—

"Very pretty." I unconsciously spoke out loud while staring at him.

Sevan frowned. Him being displeased was written all over his face.

"A-Ah wait. No I-I mean. At the cafeteria pl-please.." I was flustered and stuttering.

What the heck. Why did I just say that out loud.

So damn embarrassing!.

"Whatever. Just follow me." He said walking right past me.

I quietly followed him 10 steps behind him. At first he was walking fast but he realized that I was following him, he slowed his pace. It was very kind of him to do that. His brunette hair sparkles whenever sunlight hits it, and those amethyst like eyes. Just like what happened earlier I can't help but feel at awe. It's like I'm being drawned to him. It was not long after that we've arrived at the cafeteria. The distance between that place and the cafeteria were just near. But how come I still got lost.

"We're here." Sevan said.

Ever since I blurted out the word pretty Sevan's expression has changed, like he was displeased. Does he hate being called pretty?. Because even though that was a slip of a tongue it doesn't mean I wasn't telling the truth.

"Ah than—" Before I could even finish my thank you he starts to walk away.

He was such an unique person, but I'm still thankful to him since he helped me. He pequed my interest. I should probably meet him again to thank him sometime soon. We'll meet again soon, and I got that feeling that soon will not be long.

"Look there he is!". A young man's voice shouted.

I turned my head to the direction of the noise.

"Ah Gab..!"

"Dude! Where the hell have you been?! Do you know how hard we were looking for your ass?!" Gabriel shouted out of breath.

"We just spent half of the time given to us for lunch just to find you, for heavens sake!." Aviel said wiping her sweat with a handkerchief.

"Now, now you two. Let's just forgive him. What's important now is that Klaus is finally here. So let's go and grab our lunch now before the lunch break ends." Caleb said calming Aviel and Gabriel.

Growl.

The sound of Caleb's stomach growling.

"Please?." He added.

"Hmph fine." Aviel snubbed.

We were now walking inside the cafeteria and dang. This cafeteria isn't cafeteria-ing. It's more like a 5 star restaurant! Even the tables, utensils and kitchen supplies are luxurious!

"Say Klaus how did you manage to get back here in the cafeteria?" Caleb asked.

Should I tell them about what happened in that room when I found Sevan was crying?.

"It's quite a long story. But in short I found someone and that someone led me here in the cafeteria haha.." I scratched the back of my head while smiling awkwardly.

"Well if you say so." Caleb smiled at me.

"Shall we order now?." Gab said placing his phone in the table.

"Ah! Order me some burger, I saw that they have one in the menu when we came inside." Aviel said.

"You order it yourself!." Gabriel replied.

"But I'm tired of all that running and walking. Girls school shoes has heels y'know? It's pretty tiring." Aviel pouted.

Gabriel was disgusted by Aviel's pouty face and let out a long sigh before heading to order food.

"Good grief." He mumbled.

"Yeyyyy!"

I let out a chuckle as I follow them to order my lunch.

I couldn't tell them the truth because it seems to me that Sevan also doesn't want it to be known to other people. Why else would he go to that room and wailed all by himself. He must've had it rough. Poor guy.
