I Need To Log In

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to I Need To Log In.

In this auxiliary chapter, I'll explain the universe so you won't need to read my first book to understand what's going on.

Also, this lets me fast-forward through the story without dumping too much background info all at once.

Here are some important terms:

EVR: The highest-level existence maintaining balance in the universe. It's sentient, but not in the way we understand it. It has no emotions and functions more like a machine. When balance is disrupted, it acts to correct it.

EVR (the "game"): When written in italics, EVR refers to the game launched in different worlds, allowing their citizens to fight on other planets.

Zeno/System: Also called the Zeno Capsule or simply the system, this is the gaming capsule that allows players to enter the game's world. It was created by EVR, so it's a high-level existence too, though not the strongest.

How the EVR balancing system works:

Since EVR operates like a machine, some high-level beings manage to bypass its rules, throwing certain planets into chaos.

In response, EVR doesn't judge who caused the imbalance or how—it simply tries to restore balance.

To do that, it sends Zeno capsules to a chosen planet. The people who enter them act as soldiers (sometimes without knowing it), working to bring things back into balance.

EVR also rewards those who help restore that balance.

That's the short version. There's a lot more to the universe, but this should be enough to understand the basics.

If you're interested in the full story, you can check out my first book, I Don't Need To Log Out. Just a heads-up—it was my first, so it's far from perfect.
