The fusion of aura between the two was remarkable.

Roy was attempting this for the first time—this process of merging a Trainer's psychic energy with a Pokémon's aura was strikingly similar to Mega Evolution, just without the Key Stone and Mega Stone. Those two mystical components were typically essential for such a transformation.

Even accomplished Psychic-type trainers couldn't achieve this resonance without those stones. This connection was only possible for a unique partnership like Roy and Lucario, both natural "aura messengers." It was essentially a simplified version of Mega Evolution.

Roy glanced at Lucario, who radiated explosive energy. Lucario had accumulated so many power-ups, having just evolved and developed new abilities. Roy couldn't even estimate his partner's true level anymore.

He opened his mouth and gave a simple command: "Lucario, let's show our best."

The implicit meaning was clear: hold nothing back!

In that moment of understanding, Lucario launched his attack.

Quick Attack—

When Riolu had used this basic move two months ago, he had barely approached the speed of sound, hindered by the sound barrier. For today's Lucario, that barrier had long since disappeared.

Lucario leaned forward, jumped, and vanished instantly. The audience only heard a loud sonic boom as he struck Steelix's massive body. His extreme speed transformed into devastating power.

Steelix was sent flying backward, but its combat awareness was excellent. Realizing its speed disadvantage, it used Autotomize mid-air. In an instant, part of its heavy body mass simply vanished.

As Lucario approached again, the now faster Steelix could respond effectively.

"Iron Tail!" Brian called out.

Steel energy gathered at Steelix's tail tip as it swung powerfully.

Lucario met the attack with a punch, and unlike their previous clash, the two reached a stalemate in strength. With astonishing speed, Lucario spun after the punch, changed direction, and struck again.

Faced with Lucario's ultra-high-frequency attacks, Steelix couldn't move an inch and could only defend with Iron Tail.

Iron Tail was far from the ideal option. After evolution, Lucario had become a Fighting/Steel dual-type, making Steel-type moves like Iron Tail only 50% effective against him. But Steelix had no choice. Against Lucario's terrifying speed, it had no opportunity to create distance. Among its close-combat moves, Iron Tail was its most proficient technique—the only one with release speed that could match Lucario's rhythm.

Earth Power, Bulldoze—Steelix knew these moves, but had no chance to execute them!

From the spectators' perspective, Lucario was bathed in blue light, leaving afterimages as he attacked Steelix from all directions. Steelix used its flexible Iron Tail to constantly block the incoming fists. Each punch generated powerful gusts of wind.

Brian gritted his teeth, racking his brain for a solution, but found none. He had faced speed-specialized opponents before, but never one that matched Lucario's level.

Self-created techniques, Lightning Body Forging, Agility enhanced by powerful aura, the fusion of Aura energy—these abilities and Contest Conditions had dramatically increased Lucario's speed beyond comprehension.

"ROAR!" Steelix suddenly realized that Lucario's punches were gradually growing stronger. Each strike hit harder than the one before.

"Power-Up Punch," Roy said calmly.

The aura connection allowed Roy to sense Lucario's abilities clearly. After evolution, Lucario had mastered new moves, including Power-Up Punch—a technique that increased attacking power with each successful hit.

This move paired perfectly with speed-specialized Lucario. His ultimate speed transformed into power, but transformed power always fell short of raw strength. Power-Up Punch perfectly compensated for this shortcoming.

The mastery of Power-Up Punch became the final advantage Lucario needed.

After ten consecutive strikes, Iron Tail was finally repelled. Steelix couldn't maintain the opponent's pace and had no room to counterattack. It was bombarded by hurricane-like fists.

The audience watched in disbelief. Was this truly a Pokémon that had only begun training two months ago? Was Roy really a novice Trainer? The scene defied common sense, shocking everyone's understanding of Pokémon training.

After its defense was breached, Steelix endured dozens of consecutive punches. Its body became covered in scars, and the steel ore segments of its body deformed under the impacts.

Yet it remained tenacious, refusing to fall. With resolute eyes, it stared at the heavily panting Lucario, defending its final shred of dignity.

Its ability was "Rock Head"—in essence, a Pokémon with remarkable endurance against physical attacks.

"Huff... huff..." Lucario breathed heavily, his chest heaving. Maintaining such astonishing power had rapidly depleted his stamina.

"End it," Roy said quietly.

Lucario cupped his hands together and drew them to his side, channeling his entire body's aura into his palms. A sphere of pure, concentrated energy formed between his hands.

"Aura Sphere!" Roy called out.

Lucario thrust both hands forward. The Aura Sphere shot toward Steelix, who could barely defend itself. The sphere struck with unerring accuracy.

The energy contained within exploded, forming a devastating energy storm that consumed nearly half the battlefield.

As the aftermath dissipated, Steelix lay collapsed on the ground, fainted.

Lucario knelt on one knee, exhausted but victorious, head held high in triumph.

Witnessing this conclusion, the spectators in the Capital Competition Center sat stunned, goosebumps rising on their skin.

He had actually done it...

The earlier battle between Vulpix and Squirtle had been won through the Trainer's tactical prowess, but Lucario's victory came through raw power—no fancy tricks required.

Born to an ordinary family, Roy had accomplished in less than five months what others couldn't achieve in three or four years.

History had been rewritten once again. An unbelievable legend had been created.

Indeed, Roy's accomplishment could only be described as legendary. Even protagonists in television dramas wouldn't be written this way, as everyone understood the basic progression of Trainer development—principles that had remained unchanged for nearly a century.

This defied common sense and logic. If written as a script, it would be criticized as unrealistic. Yet this absurd scenario had unfolded in reality!

Was reality truly this illogical?

The arena remained silent for over ten seconds. Then—

Earth-shattering cheers and hoarse roars erupted, threatening to collapse the entire center's ceiling.

This was the glory of victory.
