Dong… Rumble!
The pitch-black toe landed precisely on the tip of the pitch-black umbrella, releasing a sound like the striking of a massive bell. The two terrifying forces erupted simultaneously, and a surging, powerful air current immediately spread outwards.
The ground beneath them buckled and swelled, instantly shattering and collapsing into a depression. A hurricane-like airwave swept in all directions, forcibly lifting and scattering everything visible within its range. Houses toppled like building blocks, kicking up massive clouds of dust that filled the sky.
"Hah!"
Redfield let out a low shout, suddenly pulling back his arm, lifting one foot, and delivering a whip kick.
In mid-air, Aeridar stumbled forward slightly due to the sudden retraction of force, but his reaction was quick. He crossed his arms over his chest, bracing himself to take the full force of the whip kick.
Bang!
With a muffled thump, Aeridar was sent flying backwards through the air.
"A mere old man, but you still have a lot of strength!" Aeridar flipped and landed on the street, shaking his slightly numb arm.
In the next moment, Aeridar punched forward. A white halo appeared, and a visible shockwave erupted like a massive tide.
"Damn it, a shockwave!"
Redfield was startled and tried to evade, but the range of the shockwave was too vast. It was too late.
Rumble!
Redfield was instantly engulfed by the shockwave and forcefully blasted away. The ground cracked and crumbled into pieces, and everything in its path was utterly destroyed, unleashing a terrifying airwave and instantly filling the air with smoke and dust.
"Cough…"
In a pile of ruins, Redfield used his long umbrella, stabbed into the ground, to steady himself, letting out a light cough. A trace of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth.
"You brat!"
Sensing the injury, Redfield wiped the blood from his mouth and became absolutely enraged. When had he, in a one-on-one, direct battle, ever been wounded by a brat under thirty years old?
Suddenly, Aeridar silently appeared behind Redfield, launching a punch toward his back.
However, the moment Aeridar appeared, Redfield abruptly spun around, using his umbrella as a sword. A blood-red sword energy burst forth.
Clang!
Boom!
Caught off guard, the blood-red sword energy struck Aeridar directly in the chest, sending him flying back over a hundred meters to crash into a tall building.
"Will I fall for the same trick twice? Ridiculous!" Redfield sneered, sending another sword slash toward the high-rise.
"Cough, cough…"
Inside the high-rise, Aeridar, half-covered by bricks and rubble, stood up, touching his pitch-black chest, and grimaced. "What a ferocious sword-wave slash! That really hurt..."
Before he could finish speaking, Aeridar was startled and quickly dodged to the side.
Swish!
A flash of blood-light. The ten-story high-rise was cut open as if by a sharp blade. The top half slid downward diagonally, the cut perfectly smooth like a mirror, without a single rough edge.
Rumble…
The severed half of the skyscraper crashed to the ground, kicking up another wave of air and dust.
"That was close! It's so fierce!" Aeridar shot into the sky, wiping non-existent sweat from his brow and patting his chest in alarm.
"He dodged it, huh!" Redfield coldly snorted, staring at the figure in the air.
"The New Era has arrived! This is no longer the time for you old-timers to dominate! Take this!"
Aeridar looked down at Redfield, clenching his fist tightly. His muscles bunched like writhing dragons, and he immediately threw a punch downward.
The fist shot out rapidly, causing ripples to appear in front of it. The air instantly became turbulent, forming an air column over five meters in diameter, resembling an elephant's foot.
Impact Cannon!
Redfield's eyes widened, his pupils contracting sharply. Without a word, he transformed into a streak of blood-light and fled.
BOOM!
The pale-white air column, like an elephant's foot, slammed directly into the ground. With a single boom, three craters, each five meters in diameter, appeared in the inner city of Micity Port.
"That power... it's much stronger than before!"
Redfield stood not far from the newly blasted craters, his mouth twitching. Suddenly, his ears twitched as he thought he heard the sound of flowing water.
Then, a look of shock appeared on his face as he murmured, "The ground has been... punched through!"
That's right. Aeridar's Impact Cannon had pierced directly through the ground, or rather, through the island, connecting to the sea below. Seawater surged into the craters, which is why Redfield heard the sound of running water.
"Again! Impact Cannon!"
Missing his target, Aeridar threw another punch.
BOOM!
The pale-white air column, resembling an elephant's foot, appeared once more, leaving another five-meter-wide crater in the earth.
"Damn it!"
Dodging to the side, Redfield gritted his teeth in frustration. The ability to fly was too troublesome; it gave his opponent the complete advantage.
Whoosh!
A blood-red sword energy shot into the sky, aimed directly at Aeridar.
"I am the King of the Sky!"
Aeridar clenched his fist. A pale-white pressure shield enveloped it, and he hammered forward through the air.
Crack!
The atmosphere split open, and an invisible force of vibration rapidly spread outwards through the air.
RUMBLE!
The blood-red sword energy exploded in mid-flight. The ensuing shockwave and strong wind swept outward like a raging storm.
"Newgate's ability!"
Seeing this, Redfield's mouth twitched, and he couldn't help but gasp. Although he knew from intelligence reports that the opponent possessed this vibration ability, seeing it in person still startled him.
"Let me show you another interesting ability!"
"Hehehehe… Rise, Earth! Lion's Threat: Earth Binding!!!"
Aeridar stood suspended in the air, laughing heartily, and beckoned downward with his right hand.
RUMBLE!
Suddenly, the earth churned and surged, as if the ground itself were being peeled back. Countless houses and high-rises were ground up, mixed with the soil, and a colossal lion's head, dozens of meters high, manifested, connected to the heaving earth.
"Shiki's ability!" Redfield's eyes grew darker and colder, with even a hint of an unpleasant premonition.
"ROAR!!!"
Under Aeridar's control, the colossal lion's head roared and charged toward Redfield.
"Bastard! Don't get cocky!"
"When I was dominating the seas, you weren't even born yet!"
Redfield was furious. A blood-light flashed around him, and a dense scent of blood permeated the air. He thrust his long umbrella forward violently, and a scarlet blood-light burst out suddenly.
Crimson Solitude: Crimson Blood!
In a flash, the blood-light intensified. A blood-red ribbon of energy streaked forward like a rainbow piercing the sun.
RUMBLE!
The blood-red ribbon was like an invincible sacred sword, cutting through metal and shattering jade, slicing iron like mud. It instantly split everything in front of it—houses, high-rises, the colossal lion's head, and even the landscape itself... it carved a long, narrow fissure extending all the way to the port's coast, over two kilometers in length and dozens, even hundreds, of meters deep.
