PROLOGUE
We lost her…. silence ensued as the doctor on call walked out of the surgery room,his head bent down a little,as he disposed off his used face mask and gloves simultaneously. he said again…she is gone(this time with a sense of pity), ofcourse it should be,then he faced the nurse on duty and instructed her to do last office for her, he did that and then walked away.i could only see a distant figure walking away…and with time disappeared into the thin of air
Everywhere was silent,I was speechless and dumbfounded, and ofcourse the hospital wall seemed cold,blurry and silent.
Everything happened so fast,I faced the nurse like I needed something, but in truth I searched for words and stammered,why….why…I really tried saying words out of my mouth but all to no avail.
Ofcourse I would eventually say something,nature has to take it's course.
Then I shouted why…..why so soon I said as tears screamed silently through my face,not long after the nurse walked away.
But at that time,I was already wet with sweat,mucus and tears,as one didn't stop for the other.I want to become a doctor Carla said.
Wow a doctor, that's massive I replied, as the thoughts of I and Clara replayed in my head,her voice echoing, echoing so loud…..i cried bitterly this time,so loud and rough enough.
Carla…Carla…I shouted and cried.
Carla was a bright child, infact she was a rare gem,a sister and my best friend.she was Indeed one of a kind,we did a lot of things in common.
She was one promise child,who determined and promised herself to become a doctor,save lives and help assist her family from the whales of debt and sea of crises.. but everything crashed with just one idea. I pushed her.
