Chapter 88 - Premonition of Blood

"Aren't you going to the warehouse, Charles?" Vince asked, standing beside Greg.

"Later," Charles replied. "My gut says I should go—but I also know something bad will happen there. Just be ready for what's coming."

"So, you're ready to throw your life away, huh?" Vince said.

"Throw my life?" Charles smirked. "No. I'm not wasting my life. And I'm not going to die—not until I've brought them down."

Vince shook his head, but Greg tugged at his sleeve.

"What is it?" Vince asked softly.

Greg's eyes were distant, fixed on something only he could see. "Brother… he should be careful with the people he's been around. I see danger coming for him."

He hesitated before speaking again. "Nathaniel… that's the name of the man who will kill him if he goes there now." Fear trembled in his voice.

Greg's gift was unlike anyone else's—he could glimpse the future through moments and interactions. It was powerful… and dangerous. Felix had once told Charles to help Greg grow comfortable with what he saw.

Vince ruffled Greg's hair.

"Don't you believe me, Brother?" Greg asked.

"Yes… I trust you," Vince said, lifting the boy into his arms.

Greg's voice cracked. "Sister Thalia will be betrayed. Sister Jenny will be in danger—they were caught on CCTV. Brother Felix will also be in danger when he learns the secret. And you—Brother Zenne and Brother William—will be hunted down. Brother, I'm scared. I'm scared I'll lose you."

Charles stared at the child's tear-streaked face.

"I see many dead people," Greg whispered. "Including you. Aren't you scared, big brother?"

Vince didn't answer. He had already seen it—in his own visions.

"Sorry, Charles," Vince said quietly.

Charles only nodded. "I'll have Zenne stay with you." He set Greg down and left the room, guiding the boy outside for fresh air.

"Brother, it will happen soon," Greg pleaded. "You must leave this place. A lot of blood will be spilled. Please listen to me."

"What else do you see, Greg?" Vince asked.

The vision took them both. In Greg's mind, he saw the reasons they would fail: many lives lost, another massacre among their ranks, the organization hunting them under Alexander's command, Fernan's soul wandering, lost forever.

"So, Brother… please stop this," Greg said, clinging to him.

Vince comforted the boy, but Vince believed nothing could stop what was coming. He decided to take Greg home, to his sister, far from danger. She already knew some of what Greg had seen—and she would keep him safe.

What should we do now, Felix? Vince wondered, driving away with Greg. You always say to let fate run its course, to adapt rather than resist. But how do we 'ride' a fate like this?

Minutes later, they arrived. His sister's bags were packed. She took Greg, then turned to Vince with a glare.

"Don't die—or I'll kill you myself," she said.

Vince laughed. "Go. There's going to be chaos here. You'll be safer at the meeting place—William's mother is there."

"Where's Gerald?" she asked.

Vince sighed. "Even if William insists, Gerald won't leave. He'll stay and help his brother."

She smacked his arm. "Take care of your cousins. And tell Felix not to play with fire." She pulled him into a sudden hug. "Be careful."

He hurried to gather what they needed—someone in the city was waiting to help. As the vehicle carrying his sister and Greg drove away, Vince waved… until it vanished from sight.

Then came the explosion. His house erupted in flames.

Vince walked away, pulling out his phone. Felix answered on the first ring.

"Hello."

"Yeah, are you done?" Felix asked.

"Yep. I already put distance between Greg and this mess," Vince replied.

"That's good. So… what did you see in my brother's vision?"

Vince didn't hesitate. "We're all going to die."

Felix laughed. "Then what do we do to survive?"

"What's your plan? Are you ready to risk our lives?" Vince pressed.

"I won't die," Felix said firmly, "not until my siblings are safe."

"Yeah, whatever. Your youngest brother's something else."

"That's why I brought him here first," Felix replied.

"I don't know what you're planning."

"I have to hang up—I've got work to do," Felix said.

"Yeah."

The call ended. Vince turned toward the warehouse, ready to witness the chaos that Greg had foreseen.
