Chapter 160 - 159: So He Likes Twin-Tailed Beauties

That night in Tokyo was destined to be anything but peaceful—or warm.

The chaotic scene in Kabukicho was recorded by many bystanders.

They hadn't entered [Yumiko's badge] aura range, so they weren't affected.

But they loved drama—and even more, they loved posting drama online.

In less than fifteen minutes, short video platforms were flooded with clips of Kabukicho.

Ichika, currently playing a cannon-fodder female role in a drama shoot, came across one such video.

At first, she thought it was a movie shoot—until she read the comments saying, "This isn't a shoot. I'm at the scene."

Ichika immediately forwarded the video to her sisters.

Then she thought about it and sent the video to Yukino too.

As long as they didn't mention Makoto, their relationship was actually quite decent.

Yukino soon replied: [I've already seen it.]

Ichika: [Oh.]

Whether it was possessiveness or something else, Yukino didn't tell Ichika the real news: Makoto was at Kabukicho.

Ichika wasn't the only one forwarding the video.

Eriri did the same.

Wearing light clothes, she was alone in her room.

After getting tired of drawing doujin, she decided to scroll through videos—and was stunned by what she saw.

She immediately forwarded the clip to her mom.

Who knew Sayuri would reply: [Your mom's watching the livestream live at the scene.]

Eriri's pale forehead filled with question marks.

She wanted to call and ask, but her mom hung up on her.

Sayuri: [I'll explain everything when I get back.]

"Tsk, why wait? Now I don't even feel like drawing!" grumbled Eriri.

She was at the peak age of curiosity. Shaking her soft white legs in frustration, she suddenly thought of her two friends—Makoto and Utaha.

She forwarded the video to both.

Makoto replied: [You went to Kabukicho? I'm telling your mom.]

Eriri: "…"

Utaha, on the other hand, was genuinely surprised.

Eriri, full of unanswered questions, sent an angry sticker to Makoto, then called Utaha directly.

The two beautiful girls earnestly began discussing the matter.

On the other side—

Makoto was getting ready to leave.

In these ten minutes, he had recorded everything thoroughly. The aura produced dozens of different buffs, none of them negative.

He jumped down from a high spot, avoided the hyper-excited youngsters, and headed to regroup with Hayama Hayato and the others.

On the way, a few dudes with the [Overexcited] buff tried to block his way. Makoto simply grabbed them like chickens and tossed them into the crowd.

Because Hayama and the others had already called the police, now among the chaotic figures in the street were quite a few bouncing police officers.

Makoto sighed regretfully—if only he could keep the photos from the time loop.

The images and videos he took tonight would've dominated trending lists online.

While he strolled back at a calm pace, Yukino's mother was growing more anxious.

Just as she debated whether to go check it out herself, Sayuri calmly said, "You're not in the right state to go now. Didn't you notice that none of the police came back after going in?"

Yukino's mother frowned. "But that child hasn't come back yet."

"Here's what I'll do. I'll go take a look. You're clearly on edge… and don't deny it, Ms. Yukinoshita—we've known each other long enough for me to see through that."

Yukino's mother didn't argue. She knew the logic of 'concern leads to chaos,' and unfortunately, she really was quite worried about Makoto.

What frustrated her most was her normally calm and dependable chauffeur… was still meditating in the middle of the crowd.

Sayuri noticed her emotion and said with a deliberate laugh, "Alright, don't overthink it. You yourself said that Fushimi's reliable—he won't get into trouble."

Yukino's mother nodded. "Then I'll leave it to you."

"No need to be so polite—I'm just taking a look for you."

Sayuri smiled and walked lightly forward, her twin-tails gently swaying behind her, leaving a stunning silhouette.

Just as she approached the aura's range, Makoto happened to spot her.

In an instant, he accelerated. With a few strides, he dashed so fast he practically disappeared from view.

Sayuri didn't even see him clearly—she only felt a rush of wind and a tight squeeze around her waist.

Startled, she instinctively tried to struggle—until she saw Makoto's face.

"Fushimi-kun? What are you doing?"

Sayuri showed no nervousness. That mature and charming face held only surprise.

Makoto gestured to her left. "Look over there."

She followed his gaze—just in time to see a red-haired punk dashing past and launching a kick at another guy.

She finally understood, her lips curling into a mischievous smile unbefitting her age. "Ah, so you were afraid I'd get hit? Thank you~"

"Just a reflex," said Makoto casually.

The red-haired kid with the [Battle Ready] buff was just a coincidence.

Makoto had intercepted Sayuri not because of him—but because he didn't want her entering the aura's zone.

He planned to deactivate the aura after everyone left.

And of course, this scene of him hugging Sayuri didn't go unnoticed.

Hayama Hayato and the others, waiting by the roadside, saw it all.

Aota and his friend gaped. "Who's that twin-tailed beauty Fushimi's hugging? His girlfriend? She's on par with Yukinoshita in looks!"

Hayama Hayato paused for a second, then slowly said, "If I remember right… that's Ms. Sayuri."

Aota and the others were confused. "Ms. Sayuri? A celebrity?"

Hayama's face twitched. "She's Eriri's mother."

The two were shaken. "Whoa, Fushimi—you're into twin-tailed beauties?"

Not far away, Yukino's mother looked very displeased.

She didn't understand why Makoto had to hug Sayuri.

What she really didn't understand… was why it made her so angry.

Sayuri, unaware of any of this, playfully blinked after Makoto let go.

"I appreciate the help, but next time, just pull me out of the way, don't hug me. Hugging a lady isn't exactly polite, you know~"

Makoto smiled and nodded. "I'll remember that."

Sayuri was momentarily stunned, her eyes lingering on his smile for a few more seconds before she smiled back.

"No wonder my Eriri keeps talking about a boy. You really are handsome."

"Thanks for the compliment."

"I guess I need to revise what I just said. If there's a next time… I might allow you to hug this big sister again~"

Clearly teasing.

Makoto could tell and smiled. "Shouldn't it be 'auntie'?"

Sayuri's smile vanished.

Her eyes turned sharp. "Big sister, Fushimi-kun. Don't forget that."

As expected, the more mature and beautiful the woman, the more sensitive she was about age.

Makoto showed excellent survival instincts. "Got it, big sister."

Sayuri smiled with satisfaction.

The two returned to Yukino's mother, who asked calmly, "Are you alright?"

Makoto: "Of course I'm fine."

She didn't continue the topic. "Let's get in the car. We'll go back together."

Just then, Hayama Hayato and the others approached.

Only now did she speak to Hayama: "Hayato, is there something you need?"

Hayama glanced at Makoto, thinking how awkward it was to be caught in Kabukicho by a parent figure.

But loyal as always, he smiled warmly. "Auntie, it's getting late. We should all head home."

"All of us?"

Yukino's mother saw right through him and smiled slightly. "I'll take Makoto home myself."

Hayama thought, Oh no, looks like Makoto's about to get lectured.

He understood her strict and traditional nature—and knowing Makoto's close relationship with Yukino, it made sense they visited each other's homes often.

He hesitated, wanting to help take Makoto back—but Makoto remained calm and said, "You guys go on ahead, I'll go with the two aunties."

You're this bold? That lady is incredibly strict, you know!

Hayama Hayato froze in place.

The two Aota guys were thinking: "So he really does have a thing for this twin-tailed auntie!"

Sayuri gave Makoto a sly smile. "It's big sister. Did you forget again?"

Makoto: "Oh, I'll go home with my two big sisters."

Sayuri chuckled.

Mrs. Yukinoshita remained expressionless, but thought to herself, Since when did Sayuri and Makoto become siblings?

Eventually, Hayama Hayato and the others left.

Before they departed, the two clueless Aota guys were still winking at Makoto with faces full of "Damn, you've got guts, even daring to flirt with an older woman!"

Makoto ignored their wild assumptions and got into the car with the two ladies—wait, no, with the two "big sisters."

Only then did he disable the [Yumiko's Queen Aura].

The chauffeur came back looking embarrassed, but fortunately Mrs. Yukinoshita didn't hold him accountable.

On the way back, Mrs. Yukinoshita proactively asked why Makoto had come to that area.

He had already prepared his answer: "I've never been there before, and since it's been trending online, I thought I'd check it out."

Then he casually "sold out" Hayama Hayato. "But it was actually Hayama's idea to visit Kabukicho to see what it's like."

Mrs. Yukinoshita was skeptical. "Hayato would suggest something like that?"

"You can call and ask him if you want."

Seeing how confidently he said it, Mrs. Yukinoshita let it go, lightly nodding. "It's normal for young people to be curious."

Sayuri added with a smile, "And energetic too."

Makoto nodded in agreement. "Big sister is right."

Sayuri laughed so hard her eyes disappeared.

She suddenly felt quite happy.

Although people had complimented her youthful looks in the past, somehow being called "big sister" tonight gave her a sense of emotional satisfaction that surpassed all those previous compliments combined.

Maybe it's just because I have a good impression of him?

As the car fell into silence, Makoto, who had been "forced" to sit in the middle seat of the back row, was now completely surrounded by two distinct fragrances.

Having been around plenty of beautiful girls, he hadn't studied perfume brands, but he could still tell the strength of different scents.

Sayuri's fragrance was rich but not overpowering, just like her personality—occasionally lively and likable.

Mrs. Yukinoshita's scent was elegant and refined, the same style as Yukino's—pleasant and relaxing.

Just then, Makoto felt his phone vibrate. He picked it up and saw a message from Yukino.

Yukino: [You're still not back yet?]

Mrs. Yukinoshita, who was beside him, saw it and asked, "You made plans with Yukino?"

Makoto answered honestly, "I was planning to stop by her place for a bit to chat."

Mrs. Yukinoshita chuckled. "Then I'll come along too."

There goes my chance again...

On his left, Sayuri pursed her lips, wondering if she could go too.

But she thought better of it—Eriri was still at home waiting. Next time, I'll come tease this cute boy again.
