"Rocket launcher! Get the rocket launcher!"
This squad had a total of seven men — three with rocket launchers, four with guns for suppressive fire.
Now that the three rocket launcher guys had been taken out, panic started to set in among them.
A burly man with a beard, clearly the squad leader, roared, "Suppress him with the rocket launcher immediately!"
At the same time, he kept firing his AK toward Blaine's direction.
Even though the AK fire had practically zero effect on Blaine, it still gave them a little sense of security.
But by now, they understood very clearly:
Only the rocket launcher could force Blaine to actually dodge.
Several terrorists heard the boss's order and immediately tried to retrieve the rocket launchers lying next to the corpses and reload them.
But just as they stepped out of the small cave entrance and barely stuck their heads out—
"Whoosh!"
"Whoosh!"
"Whoosh!"
Several piercing sounds tore through the air.
Special arrows shot straight through their heads.
"F**k!"
Seeing a few of his men get killed instantly, the squad leader didn't hesitate at all. He threw his AK aside and sprinted deeper into the cave.
"Boss! We're under attack! We're under attack!!"
Blaine's eyes narrowed slightly and he quickly chased after him.
However, just as he stepped inside the cave—
He saw the barrel of a rocket launcher aimed straight at him.
Blaine froze for a moment.
Holy sh*t, they're really playing dirty?
The tunnel grew narrower the deeper it went. If he entered fully, there would be nowhere to dodge a rocket shot.
"Playing dirty, huh?" Blaine immediately tried to turn and leave.
But it was already too late.
The terrorist had clearly anticipated his move — he didn't even wait for Blaine to step fully inside before launching the rocket. The moment Blaine entered, he faced the incoming rocket head-on.
The rocket, trailing exhaust, slammed directly into Blaine's chest.
"Bang!!"
The rocket exploded.
Smoke billowed everywhere.
The tunnel shook violently, as if hit by an earthquake, blasting open a massive hole.
Damn!
Blaine felt like he had been smashed in the chest with a giant hammer, his chest tightening, his vision going dark. Accompanied by a thunderous boom, he stumbled back several steps, feeling momentarily unable to breathe — but he held on.
Sh*t.
His mind blanked out for a second.
Blaine shook his head fiercely and glared forward, a spark of anger flashing in his eyes.
"You... you're not supposed to be an assassin?!"
The squad leader stared at Blaine in pure terror, unable to believe he had just taken a direct rocket hit and was still standing.
Damn it! The whole tunnel shook from the explosion — yet the guy who got hit was perfectly fine?
Wearing that outfit, wasn't he supposed to be an assassin?!
"I'm a tank assassin, motherf**ker."
Blaine sneered, quickly nocked an arrow, and sent the squad leader straight to hell.
Motherf**ker, I really took a rocket to the chest.
Luckily, it went exactly how I expected — otherwise, it would've been over.
The Hunter's outfit he was wearing could easily defend against regular gunfire and even withstand a rocket blast.
Of course, taking a rocket head-on still felt pretty awful.
But no fatal injury.
"Ratatata—"
Blaine's ears twitched slightly.
He heard many footsteps rushing toward him — judging by the heavy steps, they were fully armed.
And there were at least ten of them.
Mobilizing everyone they had?
Without hesitation, Blaine charged deeper inside.
Every terrorist that appeared — he killed.
One showed up, he killed one.
Two showed up, he killed two.
Four showed up, he killed four.
These elite mercenary terrorists had no chance against Blaine's arrows.
One arrow, one kill — no problem at all.
It was a one-sided slaughter.
The only thing that annoyed Blaine a little was that he had to tank three more rocket shots.
Scratching his head helplessly, he rubbed his still-aching chest and took a deep breath.
Hunter gear... wasn't it supposed to be assassin gear?
Was he destined to walk the path of the tanky assassin?
Tank rocket launchers, charge straight in?
One man against an entire squad of terrorists?
"Bang!"
"Boom!"
"Ratatatat!"
It was like a full-scale war — constant gunfire, explosions, grenades, smoke bombs, rocket launchers — they used every weapon available.
But they still couldn't stop Blaine's advance.
Screams echoed everywhere.
Meanwhile, inside the cave, Tony Stark and Dr. Yinsen, who were working on the Mark I armor, noticed the battle happening outside.
Tony was overjoyed. "Did the military send someone to rescue me?"
Blaine had already killed around twenty terrorists by now. The scene was extremely bloody.
There were probably still survivors — after all, he only killed the ones who tried to stop him. Who knew how many more were gathering or on their way?
He hadn't even encountered the terrorist leader yet.
But Blaine had no interest in cleaning up these terrorists.
His goal was simple: take Tony's head.
Once Tony was dead, he would leave. As for the terrorists? Not his problem.
'Serve the country and the people?' Yeah, right.
Bow in hand, Blaine finally came to a halt.
