Chapter 13 - CHAPTER 13

Hum...

Fenghuo's hands glowed with light blue chakra as he gently touched an old hen lying on the ground. Beside her were five or six fluffy chicks, chirping loudly, clearly agitated. The hen was near death due to her old age, but under the influence of the chakra, the cell activity in her body was reactivated. Miraculously, she stood up and flapped her wings energetically, the chicks excitedly circling around her.

Fenghuo watched the scene with a faint smile before getting up and heading home. Inside his bedroom, he retrieved a scroll.

This scroll had been given to him a month ago by a staff member of Konoha Hospital. It was said to be entrusted by the medic ninja, Yakushi Nonoyu. The scroll contained her message, assuring Fenghuo that he could practice medical ninjutsu without worrying about her. There was also a large sum of money left for him.

Fenghuo knew that Yakushi Nonoyu was part of Konoha's Genbu (an elite medical team), and her sudden departure without even a farewell was likely a direct order from Danzo.

"Though it's unlikely that Yakushi Nonoyu is dead at this point in time, I can't help but worry," he thought, scanning the scroll's contents.

The scroll contained three medical jutsu: the Healing Technique, the Hemostasis Technique, and the Palm Immortal Technique. Fenghuo had already mastered the Healing Technique, and this month, he had also perfected the Hemostasis Technique. However, the Palm Immortal Technique still eluded him.

The Palm Immortal Technique was an advanced healing art that activated all the cells in a wound, healing it within five minutes. It was much more difficult than the basic healing and hemostasis techniques, requiring a lot of chakra control, body coordination, and hand seals. Despite his progress, he had yet to master it.

"By the way, the Ninja Academy starts tomorrow!" Fenghuo remembered with a grin.

He couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. Over the past few weeks, he had interacted with a few original characters from the Naruto world, including Uchiha Obito, Yakushi Nonoyu, and Uchiha Fugaku. But tomorrow, he would meet a whole new cast of characters at the Ninja Academy: Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi, Ibiki Morino, and others.

But no matter how excited he was, his training remained unchanged.

That night, Uchiha Obito arrived at Fenghuo's house with his grandmother, just as usual.

"Fenghuo, is dinner ready?" Obito called out eagerly.

"Almost. Wash your hands first," Fenghuo replied from the kitchen.

"Fenghuo, thank you so much for all your help these past days," Obito's grandmother said graciously, her manners impeccable.

Fenghuo emerged from the kitchen with a bowl of fried pork slices. The smell was fragrant, and each piece was finely sliced, making it easy for older people to chew.

For Fenghuo, cutting the meat into thin slices was a form of practice—helping him improve his wrist control and finger flexibility. He had seamlessly integrated his training into everyday activities.

Thanks to his intense and consistent training, Fenghuo's chakra had reached the level of a Genin, and his hand seals had become much faster, now completed in 0.8 seconds.

As for his physical skills, they had improved significantly, but without a proper teacher, he couldn't yet use them effectively in battle. However, Fenghuo wasn't worried. He had a plan.

In Konoha, if you wanted to be the best in Taijutsu, the first name that came to mind was Might Guy. However, at this time, Guy was still a year younger than Fenghuo, making him an unlikely teacher. But his father, Might Dai, was a perfect candidate.

Might Dai, known as the "Ninja of a Thousand Years," was often ridiculed by other ninjas. But his strength was undeniable. During the Third Great Ninja War, he had opened the final "Death Gate" of the Eight Gates and fought the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, killing four of them before succumbing to exhaustion.

Fenghuo suspected that Might Dai had already mastered the Eight Gates up to the "Death Gate" at this point. With his teaching, Fenghuo was confident his physical skills would improve dramatically.

And as for whether Might Dai would be willing to teach him? Fenghuo had no doubts. As a firm believer in the "Will of Fire," Might Dai would never ignore a request for help from a fellow Konoha ninja.

The next morning, Obito woke up early and eagerly knocked on Fenghuo's door.

"Fenghuo, hurry up! School starts today, and we're going to be late!" Obito shouted excitedly.

Fenghuo groaned, looking at the faint light of dawn. "Seriously? This early?"

But despite his complaints, Fenghuo got up, prepared breakfast, and—thanks to Obito's reminder—packed lunch for the day.

After a hurried breakfast, the two of them set off for the Ninja Academy. Obito was full of energy, looking around excitedly as though expecting something amazing to happen at every turn. Then, out of nowhere, Obito spotted an elderly lady who needed help crossing the street. He immediately rushed over to assist her.

The old lady grasped Obito's hand, praising him nonstop, and Obito, embarrassed, scratched his head while grinning from ear to ear.

"That felt so good! Helping people really makes you feel good!" Obito beamed.

Fenghuo sighed, realizing why Obito had woken up so early. Sure enough, whenever they encountered an elderly person, Obito couldn't resist helping them cross the road.

By the time they reached the Ninja Academy, they were, of course, late.

"Obito Uchiha, Fenghuo Uchiha! You two are late on the first day of school?!" their class teacher, Kiyono, scolded them sharply. Kiyono was a Chunin with decent teaching abilities but lacking in combat skills. He gave the two a lecture that lasted for an hour and a half.

Fenghuo and Obito were both exhausted by the end of the lecture, wishing they could turn back time.

"We're sorry, teacher," they muttered, clearly chastised.

Fenghuo sighed, feeling utterly helpless. "What can I do? It's not like I can control Obito's sense of 'duty' to help old ladies..."
