To an outsider, this scene might look like the true form of a Soul Sage's martial soul. But everyone present knew the truth: Dai Huabin was not a Soul Sage, and his martial soul was a White Tiger, not this grotesque boar-like creature.
Transformed into a pig, Dai Huabin crouched on all fours, letting out panicked squeals.
Watching this, Huo Yuhao laughed heartily—the sweet satisfaction of revenge coursing through him.
At this moment, Dai Huabin had been reshaped by the power of creation into a pig. Even his vocal cords were altered, stripping him of speech. He tried to call out, but all that came out were pig-like cries.
Those witnessing the scene were dumbfounded, questioning their very reality. Could a soul master really do this? Was this even humanly possible?
"Heh… much better. Easier on the eyes than before," Huo Yuhao muttered.
At this point, he planned to leave. For now, he had no intention of destroying the White Tiger Duke. After all, the Heavenly Court's reputation mattered, and as its head, he could not tarnish it too severely.
Yet he could not let those who had tormented him and his mother under Dai Huabin and Juno escape. Every single one present would pay.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Heads began exploding one after another in the crowd. Filth and blood splattered everywhere, red and white, painting the courtyard in a gruesome tableau. The air reeked of death.
"Ahhh!"
"Mercy… Third Young Master, mercy!"
Panic erupted. People scrambled toward the gates, desperate to escape.
"Third Brother, stop! Don't make things worse!"
A blond youth stepped forward, shouting at Huo Yuhao.
Beside him, a middle-aged woman—his mother—gripped his sleeve tightly, terrified he might anger this demon in human form.
Dai Luoli? Huo Yuhao recognized them. This mother-son pair had been among the few in the Duke's household who had not oppressed him, so naturally, he spared them.
Ignoring them, Huo Yuhao let the carnage continue. Dai Luoli, though oppressed, was much better off. His mother was alive and had already reached level twenty.
No one should preach kindness without suffering. Without losing his own mother, Dai Luoli could not understand Huo Yuhao's madness.
After a dozen minutes, the massacre ended. Nearly a hundred headless corpses lay scattered, the ground a sickly reddish-brown, the stench of blood overwhelming.
Tap, tap, tap!
A large force of soldiers arrived outside the Duke's mansion. Seeing the gates destroyed, the commanding officer's face darkened. Ignoring protocol, they surged forward.
Inside, the scene of carnage made soldiers frown. Luckily, though not all battle-hardened, they had seen enough blood in their careers to remain unfazed.
Arriving later, the city defense forces only found a trail of corpses, spattered blood, and women huddled in corners, crying.
Once briefed, the commander understood the gravity of the situation. Leaving a unit to guard the mansion, he rode swiftly to Xingluo Imperial Palace to report the incident to Emperor Xu Jiawei.
Outwardly, Xu Jiawei was enraged and denounced Huo Yuhao. But that was the extent of his response—no substantive action was taken against Huo Yuhao or the Heavenly Court.
Once the city defense forces departed, Xu Jiawei could not hide a sly smile. "Dog bites dog, father and son at odds… what a spectacle," he murmured.
After leaving the White Tiger Duke's estate, Huo Yuhao entered the Sun and Moon Empire, heading west to continue his journey.
Over the next month, he witnessed the empire's culture and technology. Compared to the Three Douluo Nations, the Sun and Moon Empire's soul-tech was astonishingly advanced. The Douluo nations would need centuries to catch up.
One advantage of the empire: official institutions provided free soul awakening. Branches in every major city allowed citizens to awaken their martial souls without cost—a necessity given the empire's small population and need for more soul masters.
However, a dark trend persisted: evil soul masters ran rampant, with some city officials even colluding with them.
Huo Yuhao recognized this as the handiwork of Xu Tianran and the Holy Spirit Sect. At this time, the Old Emperor Huang still ruled, but once Xu Tianran rose to power, such abuses would only intensify.
The Holy Spirit Sect had stepped into the open, becoming an official institution—a so-called national religion.
Huo Yuhao had already encountered several evil soul masters, the strongest reaching Title Douluo. Without exception, he had eradicated them.
Some were innocent—hunted by Shrek's inspection teams, coerced into the sect, or driven to despair by tragedy. Others were forcibly conscripted.
Regardless, all who joined the Holy Spirit Sect had committed untold atrocities, their crimes countless.
Perhaps because Huo Yuhao had killed too many high-level evil soul masters, he had been marked.
One evening, the sky darkening over a remote western town in the Sun and Moon Empire, Huo Yuhao walked along the street. Shadows suddenly appeared on rooftops. Figures in black cloaks, faces covered, clearly up to no good.
Locals sensed the danger and fled with their children.
Huo Yuhao glanced at them, uninterested in conflict here. One step and he soared into the air. Two black-cloaked men tried to block him but couldn't even graze his robes.
After flying five minutes, his pursuers remained, while ahead, two figures emerged from a spatial rift.
One, an elder in black robes—Huo Yuhao recognized him: Long Xiaoyao. The other, a woman shrouded in a blood-red aura, her silhouette unmistakable.
Huo Yuhao slowed his movement, aware of the trap forming.
Behind him, more black-cloaked figures arrived, encircling him completely.
"Respected one, long time no see. How about visiting my Holy Sect for a chat?"
The woman in the blood-red aura spoke, her voice hoarse, magnetic, and tinged with authority.
Together, nine elite members surrounded him: Long Xiaoyao, the mysterious woman, and seven others—all Title Douluo, including two at level ninety-nine, one at ninety-eight, one at ninety-seven, two at ninety-six, and three at ninety-five.
The lineup was nothing short of formidable.
