From the moment it began, Sanjid's life had spiraled into a nightmare.

He hadn't asked for this.

At first, it was confusion. Why did people suddenly hate him? Why did they call him a criminal?

Then came the anger—being slandered, accused of killing his own parents, hunted like a wild animal.

Then came the chase. Endless running. Days without food. Nights without sleep.

Until finally, he broke.

Surrounded by armed forces and with nowhere left to run, Sanjid sat alone in the dust of the dry Gobi desert. He was defeated.

He didn't understand what had gone so wrong. He didn't have the answers. All he had was pain, fatigue, and the growing void of hopelessness.

His lips, parched and cracked, barely moved as he mouthed the words of a silent prayer—not to God. No.

He had never prayed to God.

Instead, he prayed to her—the Goddess of Judgment.

Of all the heroes he'd watched, read about, admired—only she had stood out.

She was ruthless.

Powerful.

Untouchable.

And above all, she stood tall in front of anyone who dared to oppress the weak.

Even if his words wouldn't reach her... even if he would die here... praying to her was the only thing that made him feel whole again.

---

At that same moment, just beyond the horizon, a storm of fire was quietly brewing.

The sun dipped low on the Gobi desert's edge, painting the sky a shade of blood red. The cracked ground reflected the light in shimmering waves, giving the scene a surreal, dreamlike haze.

Just three kilometers away, a military convoy surrounded the desert zone. Over a hundred armored vehicles, drones, and soldiers were scattered across the area.

In the lead vehicle, a middle-aged woman in a sleek black suit spoke into her communicator.

"Move in! I want him found, alive. No more delays."

Engines roared to life as the formation spread across the Gobi like a metallic tide.

From her spot in the front seat, the woman turned back to her team—a man and woman seated behind her.

"Well?" she asked.

The woman behind her—short, sharp-eyed, with a ponytail and a computer on her lap—sighed and chewed a lollipop. "We've scanned every possible field. His energy is just like the Goddess of Judgment's—it shields itself. Thermal, life detection... nothing works."

The man next to her, in his early twenties, scarred face and all, scoffed, "I don't like this. If this really is another 'Goddess of Judgment' situation, we're all dead."

He leaned forward. "You saw what she did with that sun—bare hands. If she shows up, I'm out."

"Shut it." The woman in the suit glared at him. "That's exactly why we have to catch him. He could be the key."

Her voice rose, her eyes gleaming.

"His potential is limitless. If we study him, maybe we'll figure out what makes her tick. And if not—we'll mold him into a weapon. One that could match the Goddess herself."

She smiled coldly. "And if he doesn't want to cooperate? Well... we have our ways."

The others exchanged wary glances but said nothing.

Suddenly, the communicator crackled.

"Target found. We've got him."

Bang!

The woman slammed her fist on the dashboard, leapt out of the vehicle, and marched toward the location. Dust swirled under her heels as she strode forward like a queen.

A few dozen meters ahead, a squad of soldiers dragged a boy from behind a ruined wall.

It was Sanjid.

He looked like a ghost. Torn clothes, bruised face, bloodied lips. His curly hair was matted with dirt, his eyes sunken but still blazing with resistance.

Despite everything, he glared at them with defiance.

The woman approached, towering over him in high heels and a sharp glare. She tilted his chin upward with one finger, eyes narrowed.

"You've cost me time, effort, and money, boy. But you were worth it."

Sanjid, weak and trembling, whispered, "Why? Why are you doing this to me?"

The woman sneered.

"There's an old saying: 'The innocent can be guilty if they're too powerful.' That's what you are."

"You're a threat. Your powers are tied to something that shouldn't exist. There shouldn't have been a Goddess of Judgment, but she appeared. We won't let that happen again. Not without control."

Her voice turned icy.

"Our control."

She circled him like a hawk.

"Work with us, and you'll be worshiped. You'll be admired by millions. You'll surpass the Goddess you worship so much."

Her words slithered into his ears.

"You'll be powerful... or you'll be dissected like a lab rat. Your choice."

Sanjid trembled. Sweat ran down his face. The pressure was unbearable.

He didn't care about fame. He didn't want worship. But the alternative... that cold metal table...

He was about to speak.

And then it happened.

---

Beep. Beep. Beep!

An alarm suddenly blared from the girl's laptop.

She looked down.

Her lollipop dropped.

"Massive energy spike!"

Everyone froze.

BOOM.

A deafening sonic boom split the sky. It was so loud, so sudden, that the ground itself seemed to shudder.

Every soldier, every scientist, every machine stopped.

They looked up.

A glowing figure dropped from the sky like a divine meteor.

The ground erupted as the figure landed—a blast wave cracked the earth for miles, lifting dust, rocks, and fear into the air. Soldiers were thrown to the ground. Vehicles rocked violently.

The middle-aged woman shielded her eyes, coughing.

When the smoke cleared... there she was.

Bella. The Goddess of Judgment.

Her long black coat fluttered behind her. Her boots cracked the soil beneath her as she walked slowly forward.

Her eyes glowed faintly, and her face was calm—too calm.

The woman's team went dead silent.

The man with scars swallowed hard. "...I told you."
