A week had passed since the unusual event that rattled the world's brightest minds.
Inside the newly renovated Stark Tower, now a gleaming symbol of modern science and power, Tony Stark stood alone on the top floor, his gaze fixed on the sprawling skyline of New York City through massive floor-to-ceiling windows. Behind him, a translucent holographic display hovered in the air, displaying shifting data, energy readings, and heat maps of a recent fusion anomaly.
"Sir," came the familiar calm voice of J.A.R.V.I.S, "since you are so concerned, why not go there yourself?"
Tony, dressed in a sleek black shirt that showed off the results of his recent physical training, sipped a glass of whiskey and shook his head. "No. Whatever she's doing out there, it's not for me to interfere. Let's just say... others are far more worried than we are."
One week earlier, a powerful fusion reaction had been detected deep in the Pacific Ocean, an event so intense it lit up satellite readings and triggered multiple military alerts across the globe. At first, it was assumed to be part of a rogue experiment—possibly related to Dr. Otto Octavius's failed artificial sun project.
But then the signal revealed something—or rather, someone.
"Zero One Zero" had appeared and vanished again.
It was clear to Tony that Bella—better known now as the Goddess of Judgment—was behind it. She had likely been testing her abilities. And based on the data, the scale of her power had evolved into something terrifying.
A theory had begun to form in Tony's mind. One so bold and alarming that it left even a genius like him stunned.
If his calculations were correct, Bella was no longer just some enhanced superhero.
She was a walking nuclear bomb—no, something far worse.
And yet, as terrifying as her power was, Tony wasn't afraid of her. He was relieved, in a way. Because Bella didn't seem interested in destruction. Not yet.
The world had bigger threats to worry about. Enemies beyond Earth. Intergalactic warlords like Thanos. Even Asgard was watching the skies. So if someone like Bella was on their side, even if she was unpredictable, she could be an asset.
"Besides," Tony muttered, "aren't we all doing the same thing? Preparing for the worst?"
He wasn't wrong.
When the fusion reaction data reached the upper levels of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the United States government, chaos broke out.
Even though Nick Fury had seen stranger things in his lifetime, many top-ranking officials went pale.
"Fusion? Someone built a sun?!"
They scrambled through satellite footage and surveillance feeds. And what they saw left them speechless.
In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, far from any landmass, the sea had turned violent.
A massive vortex had formed, spanning over 100,000 kilometers. Towering waves spiraled toward a single point. And at the heart of it floated a figure—Bella, the Goddess of Judgment.
She stood calmly above the raging whirlpool, arms raised. In her hands was a burning orb of energy, hundreds of meters in diameter—an artificial sun.
It radiated heat, gravity, and raw power beyond what Earth's technology could measure.
If that orb had detonated, everything within millions of sea miles would have been erased.
Bella had become something akin to a god.
Her eyes sparkled with pride. After years of trial, error, and experimentation, her fantasy design had become reality. She had done what only science fiction had dared to dream: she held a star in her hands.
She thought of Reina, the Sun Goddess from one of her favorite old shows—and smiled.
Then, without warning...
Crack.
A subtle sound, like shattering glass, reached Bella's ears.
Her expression shifted. Instantly, her senses flared. Something was wrong.
"Calm down," said a gentle voice, almost teasing. "I'm not here to hurt you. But that little sun of yours could ruin a few of my defenses."
Before Bella could react, the world changed around her.
A thousand shimmering mirrors appeared, slicing the air into reflections and angles. Her surroundings folded into themselves. She was standing inside a mirrored dimension.
Then, the mirrors pushed apart, revealing a figure stepping through.
A bald woman wearing a flowing yellow robe and holding a sandalwood folding fan. Her presence felt ancient and wise. Her eyes carried the weight of centuries.
It was the Sorcerer Supreme—Ancient One.
She walked forward slowly, a serene smile on her face. Her gaze lifted to the blazing orb above Bella's hands.
"Hello, Goddess of Judgment. I come from the Sanctum Sanctorum. I am the Ancient One."
Bella's heart skipped a beat.
She knew who this was.
She had expected this meeting eventually. In fact, if the Ancient One hadn't come to find her, Bella would've gone to find her instead.
"Hello, Supreme Sorcerer," Bella replied softly.
The Ancient One chuckled and tapped her closed fan against her palm. "So you are familiar with our kind already. Hmm... I see the touch of magic on you. Learned from someone connected to the Queen of the Gods, perhaps?"
She tilted her head and looked more closely.
"Before we speak further," she added, "maybe you could put... that away? If it goes off, it would burn more than just a few portals."
Bella smiled, calm and composed.
With a small thought, the sun-like energy orb slowly vanished, sucked inward and condensed until it blinked out of existence.
She had mastered this technique through countless hours of focus. Even something that could shatter continents, she could control with a whisper.
The Ancient One was clearly impressed.
"Hello to you too, Ancient One," Bella said, finally acknowledging her formally.
The Sorcerer Supreme smiled wider and waved her hand, summoning a glowing golden portal.
Sparks danced across its edge, forming a circular gate that hovered above the swirling ocean.
"Would you like to join me for some tea? I've prepared a very nice Oriental blend."
Bella raised an eyebrow.
"Tea?" she repeated.
"If you're free."
Bella paused only for a moment before nodding confidently and stepping through the portal, her feet barely touching the surface of the water.
She wasn't afraid.
Not of this powerful magician.
Not of what waited on the other side.
Because she could feel it—the Ancient One meant her no harm.
And for now, that was enough.
