Chapter 186 - Chapter 187

Sengoku hung up the Den Den Mushi.

Looking around the suffocating atmosphere of the office, he opened his mouth several times… yet the words refused to come.

At last, he spoke in a low, heavy voice:

"The Demon Child, Uzumaki Naruto, has invaded Impel Down and reached the Sixth Layer—Infinite Hell. What do you think we should do?"

The three Marine Admirals glanced at each other, none daring to speak first.

Seeing this, Sengoku's gaze shifted to Kizaru—who was staring at his nose, his nose at his heart, pretending none of this involved him. Sengoku's face darkened.

"Kizaru… what do you think?"

Kizaru's lips twitched. He spared a glance at Garp's blackened expression and said,

"I think I shouldn't go over right now. After all… we don't know when the Whitebeard Pirates, the Revolutionary Army, or the Spade Pirates might arrive."

Aokiji nodded.

"Yeah. And we might even have to add the Red-Haired Pirates to that list… though I heard they're currently clashing with Kaido in the New World."

Both of their answers were clear—they weren't going to deal with Impel Down.

Bruised and battered, Akainu snorted coldly, shooting Garp a sidelong look.

"You two just want to let the Demon Child rescue them, don't you?"

The two Admirals' lips twitched.

Akainu continued,

"If I remember right, members of the Straw Hat Pirates are imprisoned in the Sixth Layer."

Garp's eyes flickered slightly at that—thinking of his grandson's crewmates.

"Akainu!" Kizaru quickly cut in, giving him a sharp look.

"Compared to that matter, the execution here takes priority. After all, the execution is about to start."

"Hmph!" Akainu sneered.

"Fine. Then let's focus on this. The condemned have already been brought here."

Garp's face darkened further, his fists—each the size of a sandbag—creaking as his grip tightened, as though ready to lash out at any moment.

Sengoku couldn't help but draw in a sharp breath.

Aokiji and Kizaru's scalps tingled. They quickly shot Akainu a look, telling him to shut his mouth.

Hadn't he learned his lesson earlier!?

If it hadn't been for the two of them—and Sengoku himself—holding Garp back, Akainu might have been beaten to death right here.

Akainu remembered all too well. His eyelids twitched involuntarily.

He'd always known Garp was strong… but he hadn't expected that strong. A few punches had almost caved in his skull.

Even so, thinking of what was to come, Akainu pressed on.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I believe Garp should be removed from the premises. Otherwise, I fear… there could be problems."

"This…"

Sengoku hesitated, glancing at Garp.

Truthfully, he felt the same way. The one about to be executed was Garp's grandson.

And… that was his blood grandson.

BANG!!!

Garp's palm slammed down, shattering the coffee table before him.

He glared at Akainu, fury blazing in his eyes.

"You're saying… I'd attack you!?"

Akainu's eyelid twitched again. Gritting his teeth, he replied,

"That's right. I think you're not in the right frame of mind. But the execution must go on—after all, Straw Hat Luffy is a pirate…"

"And according to the intel we just received, your other grandson—Ace—will also be here. He's the son of the Pirate King…

"As the Marines, we must execute them both together. Only then can we truly display our justice—"

BOOM!!!

The floor beneath Garp's feet shattered. Black streams of Busoshoku Haki exploded outward, spiderweb cracks racing across the walls.

In an instant, the headquarters building—the very symbol of Marineford—was covered in fractures.

Outside, Marines who saw it happen felt their scalps go numb and sucked in a sharp breath. None dared to guess what was happening inside.

Higher-ranking officers wiped cold sweat from their brows.

"Again…?"

Ever since Straw Hat Luffy, Izo of the Whitebeard Pirates, and several Worst Generation captains had been brought here, this scene played out almost daily.

Marineford's headquarters building had already been rebuilt three times. The entire base shuddered with each incident.

"All that because of that damn Blackbeard… Of all people to capture, he had to take the grandson of Garp the Hero…" one Vice Admiral muttered bitterly.

In truth, Sengoku was already regretting it. Had he known, he would have fought tooth and nail—defying even the World Government—to delay Straw Hat Luffy's execution.

If Luffy had been left in Impel Down, he would have been rescued by Uzumaki Naruto by now.

But instead, Luffy was here, about to be executed—bringing more enemies to their doorstep. And now Ace, the Spade Pirates' captain and Garp's other grandson, was coming as well.

If both were killed, Sengoku couldn't imagine what Garp would do in his rage.

In the worst case… Garp might defect from the Marines entirely. And with his strength, he could very well shatter Marineford itself.

As Sengoku considered this grim possibility, Garp could no longer restrain himself. His fist, wrapped in black Haki, drove straight for Akainu.

Akainu's face turned pale, magma surging up his arm.

"Garp… I won't take your hits forever—"

BOOM!!

The magma was blasted apart. The sandbag-sized black fist smashed squarely into Akainu's face, twisting his features.

But Garp didn't stop. Stepping forward, he roared,

"Fist Bone Meteor!!"

RUMBLE!!!

Outside, in the stunned gaze of countless Marines, the great headquarters building of Marineford collapsed once again.

One horrified Marine pointed at the figure sent flying:

"Th-that… was Admiral Akainu, wasn't it?"

Sengoku's scalp prickled. He turned to the two Admirals pretending not to exist—Aokiji and Kizaru.

"What are you two waiting for!? Stop Garp! If this keeps up, we'll lose an Admiral before the battle even begins!"

The two exchanged bitter looks.

"Thing is… we don't dare go near him."

Impel Down — Sixth Layer: Infinite Hell

Naruto landed lightly, eyes sweeping the rows of cells with interest.

He had to admit—the prisoners here were a bizarre bunch. Strange appearances were the norm, and there were even powerful individuals from various races.

The largest among them was nearly a hundred meters tall, bound securely within the largest cell.

When they saw an intruder enter, their eyes lit up.

"Hahaha! Someone actually made it into Impel Down! Incredible!"

"Quick! Get me out! I've got a 500 million bounty—free me, and I'll be your subordinate!"

"Oi, blond brat! Open my cell, or I'll kill you…!"

"… …"
