Having witnessed Tengen's earth-shattering clash with his mysterious opponent, the Kiri-nin lacked the resolve to face him. If Tengen attacked, most would likely collapse under the weight of his power, which far surpassed Kage-level strength.
The Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, noticed the fear gripping his ninja. With a cold snort, he commanded, "Regroup and prepare."
He then turned to Ao, Suikazan Fuguki, and other high-ranking Kiri-nin. "Convene a meeting to plan our next steps and how to counter such power."
"Yes, Mizukage-sama." The ninja responded in unison.
"Let's go." Yagura said, waving his hand as he departed, followed by his commanders.
They understood Yagura's dissatisfaction with the ninja's fear, but he could do little about it. This wasn't a minority reaction, most were terrified. Only time could help them overcome it.
Even the elite jonin harbored a faint dread. Tengen's power was simply too overwhelming.
Hearsay paled compared to witnessing it firsthand. Tengen and Uchiha Madara had unleashed near-full strength, making the battle's impact staggering. The Kiri-nin realized that even damaging a Susano'o was a near-impossible feat requiring immense power.
"Tengen." Terumi Mei murmured, her confidence waning as she watched the battle. Initially, she had harbored some courage, but now it dwindled.
The might of Tengen and Madara's clash was staggering, rivaling a tailed beast's power, or the strength of legends like Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama, capable of subduing entire villages single-handedly.
Now, after countless years, the ninja world had birthed another such monster: Tengen.
As for the other Susano'o wielder, the Kiri-nin had no clues, though they were certain he wasn't one of theirs.
Relief washed over them, Tengen hadn't attacked.
At Konoha's encampment:
"Tengen won!" Uzumaki Kushina exclaimed, her earlier worries replaced by joy as Tengen's arrow shattered the massive meteor and the blue Susano'o faded.
"His final attack didn't seem flashy, but its power was immense to destroy that meteor." Minato said, peering at the distant scene. Though blurred by distance, the blue Susano'o's disappearance confirmed Tengen's victory.
"Tengen's incredible. His strength might rival the First Hokage's." Nara Shikaku said, awestruck.
Such power could single-handedly suppress a ninja village, just as Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara once did. Since the formation of the Five Great Nations, only they had transcended other Kage-level ninja, who, despite their strength, couldn't match that feat.
"But who was Tengen fighting?" Minato wondered. The opponent clearly wielded the Uchiha's Mangekyō, yet no such Uchiha should oppose Konoha.
Minato, Kushina, and the others descended from the tree. With the battle over, Tengen would likely return.
Suddenly, space rippled beside Kushina, and a figure emerged.
"Tengen!" She said, delighted.
"Hey, everyone." Tengen greeted Kushina, Minato, and the others.
"Tengen, you and your flashy Flying Thunder God Technique." Minato teased.
Though the technique typically consumed vast chakra, Tengen used it effortlessly, even over long distances, as if it cost nothing. Minato knew Tengen's chakra, like the First Hokage's, was immense, supporting his extravagant Wood Release techniques.
"Tengen-sama." The surrounding Konoha ninja said respectfully. Though the battle was distant, it confirmed Tengen's legendary prowess.
On this battlefield, Tengen had felled many enemies, but rarely with such spectacular ninjutsu. His taijutsu and ninjutsu overwhelmed even jonin, his physical prowess unmatched.
"Tengen, who was your opponent? Do you know?" Minato asked.
"Minato, Kushina, Shikaku, come to my tent." Tengen said abruptly.
The other Konoha jonin paused but said nothing. Minato, Kushina, and Shikaku led this battlefield, and Tengen's words hinted at sensitive matters.
"Alright." Minato and Shikaku agreed, exchanging a glance.
Tengen led them to his tent, where they sat with cups of tea.
"Tengen, spill it. Who was it? An Uchiha?" Kushina asked eagerly.
"Kushina, you shouldn't even be here if you weren't my deputy." Tengen said.
"Fine." Kushina pouted.
"I'll explain." Tengen said, looking at Minato and Shikaku, whom he trusted.
He wanted to keep this quiet, estimating Madara's clone wouldn't last much longer.
"The opponent was indeed an Uchiha."
