Just when Yuyu is about to shuffle the UNO cards—

We all freeze.
I blink at the door. "…Who's that?"
Zeyan looks over, confused. "You guys having more guests?"
I shake my head. "No?"
Jiang stands up immediately. "I'll see," he says, already walking there like a responsible house husband.
He opens the door.

Oh.
It's Mrs. Wei.
And beside her is her tiny little neighbor kid, barely five, holding a creamy white cake that looks way too cute to be legal.
The girl peeks inside with huge eyes.
"Merry Christmas!" she chirps.
Jiang stiffens for half a second—
I jump up. Everyone else follows.
"Oh—please, come in!" I say quickly, waving them inside.
Mrs. Wei smiles warmly. "We didn't want to disturb you, but she insisted on bringing the cake herself."
The little girl lifts it higher with both hands. It wobbles dangerously.
"I helped!" she declares.
Yuyu gasps. "Oh my god. She's precious."
Zeyan instantly softens. Traitor.
