I started getting ready for my academy time. Shyra and marella helped me pack up. I did not have much friends growing up. so, it might be a good time to make friends. However, i can't forget the purpose of all this. I must get strong to get the keys and defeat the Demon King in outside world. meanwhile
Arin shouted "we are ready hurry up."
We got outside and marella looked sad almost in tears giving me blessings and wishes best luck just like a grandma. While shyra had a small smile on her face but I knew deepdown she is the one who is going to cry endlessly after I left and kael just keeping up his serious face while a tear travels from his eyes to his beard. Arin is the one who will accompany me to the campus on the 9th floor. I said a final goodbye and we were on our way. They waved there hand till we disappeared from there line of sight.
KAEL'S POV
"He has grown a lot."
"He now has to fight his own battles. He can't rely on us. We have done our job. It's now up to him to figure out life." Shyra said.
KROGER'S POV
Me and arin were walking towards the portal. Which is located at the capital city of the first floor. They are the only way to move between the floor if you want to travel, there is one other way, you can form your own temporary portal but it consumers lots of magic to prepare.
We started talking and he pokes me about chance of meeting the girl that i like at the academy. Yeah the girl i like.
Then the conversation turned serious realy fast. He said
" you know that during the war between humans and Demon kings army. Your family gave up there own life to save yours. If they were here they would not want you to risk your life just to average them. Rather they would like to see you make lots of friend and live a simple happy life. I am not saying this to discourage you but I want you to think hard before making any decision. Till now we were here for you but in academy you have to make your own decisions. Even after that, this is your war. So, prepare not only your body but also your heart to weather the storms which are coming. "
He got quite after saying that.
I did not say anything. We made it to the outskirts of the city to the a big slum. I knew few people from here. I visited them often.
" hey big brother you did not came to play with us for whole month".
" I am sorry. Little conil, I just been so busy lately. "
" when will you come. I can see you are here to go into the city not for us."
" I actually be starting in the academy. But don't worry I will visit you time to time."
" don't become like those nobles. They are bad people. "
" I know that don't worry. I won't change."
His mother said
" he has been asking about you a lot lately. He wants to become strong just like you are. You know that's our only way to get out of this hell is to become a mage and enter the army."
" oh really you want to become strong and become a mage. So, work really hard to achieve your dreams."
I just patted his head and then we left to enter the city occasionally talking to people. All the floors had similar situations. Nobles does not care about commner. They exploit them. They are not even allowed to live in the city only nobles there army and the wealthy are allowed to live in the city.
After that, we entered the city. We stop by a store to collect supplies. It was in the old part of the town made of wood. It is an ration station and a bar as well.
At the store
We enter the store and it was bustling with people. We made our way to counter and ordered. While people were talking about us.
Random gibberish
"Hey, you know he is arin. "
" who that guy"
" yeah the same guy that just ordered."
Waahhh.....
He just stood up kicking his chair to the side and challenged arin to a dual. Arin refused and asked me to just ignore.
Oh boy, he does not take rejection well.
He was filled with anger. He pointed his staff toward us and said " don't think if you beat one class 1 mage you can beat anyone. I will beat you today and prove that how strong I really am."
Then he prepared a spell but before he could release it . Arin in an instant got behind him and knocked him out. Everyone was shocked at arins strength and spead. We collected the ration, paid and left the bar.
" geez, they underestimate the power of someone who defeat a class 1 mage." I said
Arin just grind and we walked towards the portal.
We made it. After doing the necessary checks we went through and made it to other side safely.
Then, we reached the academy. It was huge like my eyes can't even see the whole campus. My heart races faster with excitement. I waved bye to arin and made my way in. A helper showed me to my room and help me unpack. He was well dressed, polite and in his late 50's . While doing that he briefly told about the orientation and location of the hall. " everything else you need to know will be told at the orientation. " he said.
After he left, I just put arranged my room. It was a spacious room with personal bed , an cupboard and a student table. Bathroom was down the hallway. Then I went to sleep.
