Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: An Offer from the Pinnacle of the World

A few days after the incident in the Unsanctioned Arena, Auren Kaelis's name had begun to spread quietly among the upper echelons.

However, not everyone considered him a threat. One of the Supreme Generals, the most mysterious and taciturn—General Zehnar, decided to approach him earlier than the others.

That day, Instructor Shaya summoned Auren to the academy's main hall, but upon arriving, he found no one... except for a figure standing with their back to him.

Standing tall, armed with a sword stored in a dimensional magic box. Their body was clad in dark armor that shimmered blue.

General Zehnar.

> "You're making waves, kid."

The voice was heavy yet calm, like the evening sun that does not burn, but cannot be ignored.

Auren did not reply. He simply stood respectfully.

Zehnar turned around, and... smiled thinly.

> "I don't like to waste time. So listen to this."

> "I'm offering you a position as a Special Disciple in the Secret Class of the Main Hierarchy Tower."

> "With it, you will have access to world-class advancement technology, training by beings even gods revere, and... direct protection status from me."

Auren raised his head.

> "What's the price?"

Zehnar took a step closer.

> "Loyalty. When the day comes when this world is shaken again—you will be on the side that doesn't destroy everything."

> "Because I know who you really are... the heir to something that shouldn't have come back to life."

The system lit up again.

> [System Notification: Offer from a High-Level Entity Has Been Accepted]

> [Access to the Hierarchy Tower: Level 1 Unlocked]

> [Special Mission: Conquest of the Three Pillars of the World — Available]

Auren looked at Zehnar's outstretched hand.

And he shook it.

> "I don't promise loyalty... but I promise, I won't run from the truth."

Zehnar smiled wider this time.

> "That's enough for me."

A new chapter has opened. Now Auren is not just a student with strange powers. He is a candidate to become the successor of the highest hierarchy, whom even the Generals secretly consider... as their replacement.
