Chapter 15 - 15

Stacy's POV

After taking several tours, we eventually stopped at the front of what seemed like a garden.

"Not bad," I said, finally giving Jimmy a smile. Just within the short period I've spent with him, I found out he's not all that bad.

"You'd be thrilled if you see the other one," he said, boasting.

"Really? Can we?" I asked in excitement.

"You can ask Daisy." He replied simply.

"Aren't you supposed to take me around?" I asked, and rolled my eyes at him.

"I don't have access to the garden, but I've been there. Com'on, just ask Daisy once she gets back." He replied, pouting like a kid.

"Huh?" I shook my head, laughing at his childish behaviour.

"Did you have to do that?" I asked, furrowing my brows at him.

"Yes, mommy." He replied, and I burst out into an uncontrollable laughter, while he also joined me in doing so.

We finally stopped laughing, removing our hands from our stomachs.

"Why don't you check this garden out?" He asked.

"Uhmm, okay," I replied.

"Wow! The garden has a lot of flowers, including the ones I like!" I exclaimed as I checked the garden out.

Although, I'm yet to see the one I like the most, I kept on searching, hoping to see it.

After searching the whole garden, I couldn't find it, so I went to meet Jimmy where he's standing.

"Why don't they have sunflowers here?" I asked.

"It's not here, Dolly," he replied.

"Okay then," I replied, smiling, overshadowing my disappointed face.

"Is it your favorite?" He asked.

"Yeah," I replied simply.

"And you don't feel bad about it?" He asked, furrowing his brows.

"Why should I?" I replied, hiding my true feelings.

"Let's go sit on that bench over there, or aren't you tired of standing?" I asked, pointing in the direction of the bench.

"I can stand the whole day, I'm a vampire." He replied, spreading his hands sideways.

"Why are you doing all these for Daisy?" I asked when we finally got to the bench and sat on it.

"I got to make my baby happy." He replied, smiling.

"Your baby?" I asked, arching my brows.

"Yeah, my baby." He replied.

"What do you mean, your baby?" I asked, furrowing my brows.

"Yeah, she's the one I currently cherish, so she's my baby." He explained.

"Wow! So does that mean she's your mate?" I asked, getting amused.

"She's not," he replied simply.

"Huh!? So why....."

"Just flirting, more like dating." He replied, cutting me off.

"We vampires can't date someone who isn't our mate, so we don't use the word 'date', we use 'flirting'." He explained.

"That's not thrilling," I replied, making a disgusted face.

"We are currently fond of each other," he replied.

"Oh, it's more like dating to me since you don't chase others." I said to him,

"Well, yeah! Something like that, but it's still classified as flirting here. Probably sooner or later, we'd find each other's mate." He added.

"Okay, enough about that. So can you tell me about this place?" I requested.

Jimmy's narration:

This is a different world called the Underworld. It's located in Cyprus. We have mundanes-I mean, humans-in Cyprus too, but they are located far away from the underworld. Only vampires exist here in the underworld.

An ordinary, mundane person cannot penetrate into our world because the entrance is located deep inside the thick forest.

In the underworld, we only have one ruler, which is Lord Kaiden. Although that wasn't the situation before,

We still have vampires, who are to be highly respected. like relatives of the previous lords. But none of them were appointed as the Lord because all the rightful heirs and heiresses were eliminated alongside their parents, the old lords. Except Daisy, who finds no interest in becoming one.

"That's enough for now. It's getting dark; I think we should head back." He said that, ending the narration.

"Okay, but I'd like to know more. Thanks for your presence." I mumbled to him.

"You can always ask Daisy too; she's better at narration," he said.

"I guess you learned it from her," I said, winking at him.

"Well, you can say that," he said, standing up from the bench.

"Shall we?" He asked, directing his hands to the pathway.

"I really enjoyed your company," I said, standing up.

"After you, Dolly," he said, and we proceeded to my room.

We finally got to my doorstep. I opened the door, and there I met him, sitting in bed. I and Jimmy were shocked to see him in that position from the door.

Jimmy bowed to him, and he nodded in response. He must really be a relative to one of the previous lords, as Jimmy had narrated. I thought.

"Be good." Jimmy said it to me with a smile and left while I nodded in response too.

I moved into the room with no fear when I noticed the medicinal dish on the stool beside the bed. He's actually here to make me take the dose. Then I moved closer to him. He's currently not in his lab coat.

"You sure don't want to see me dead yet too, huh?" I asked him about getting to him, and he smirked.

"Drink it up now," he said in a commanding tone.

"I don't want to," I said out loud to him.

"You sure don't want to repeat that," he said calmly.

"He's also a bully." I mumbled slowly and drank up the whole medicine, then handed the dish back to him.

"Don't get on my bad side, hot blonde." He said this, winking, and vanished.

"Hot blonde!? What was that, huh? Are they all flirting here?" I asked no one in particular.

While still standing, all of a sudden I heard a rumbling sound.

"Oh! It's my tummy." I said, rubbing it.

I'm really hungry, but I got to take a shower first before setting out to the kitchen. "I love Daisy," I suddenly said when I realized I could now move about.

After bathing, I dressed up in the maidish gown as usual and left for the kitchen. I didn't get to study the kitchen the last time. This kitchen really isn't slacking. I wonder who eats here since they all feed on blood.

It has a huge coffee-making machine. I wonder why it's so big. I need Mrs. Lauretha right now, but I don't even know the way to her room.

I realized I might be in trouble if I touched things in here without being ordered to. Then, all of a sudden, she appeared through the door. Perfect timing, I thought.

"How are you feeling now, dear?" She asked me as she approached me.

"I'm really good now," I replied.

"So what do you feel like eating?" She asked.

"Fast food-noodles would do," I replied.

"Okay, dear, go to your room; I'll bring it over." She replied.

"Can't I help?" I asked.

"I'm in charge." She replied, smiling.

"Okay, ma'am," I replied to her and headed to my room.

On my way to my room, I burst into her-the undisciplined girl who slapped me. I wanted to walk past her, but she deliberately bumped into me and left.

Huh!? She must be really crazy. I thought and continued heading to my room.

I got to my room and lay on the bed, thinking about how my life has been hell since I was a child. I turned on the bed and sighed.

A few minutes later, Mrs. Lauretha came in with the food.

"Thanks so much," I said to her, while she smiled in response and left.

Today has really been a fear-free day, thanks to his absence. I thought about it and started devouring the noodles in front of me.
