Chapter 17 - chapter 15 (part 2)

Back then, I was a completely different person… or perhaps not a person at all.

I remember the moment I entered this body… it was fragile, terrifyingly weak. Bones protruding, pale skin, dim eyes barely able to focus. Severe malnutrition, low body temperature, and a hand that could barely lift a glass of water.

The house was luxurious—but lifeless. No warmth, no vitality. The halls were empty, the servants few, carrying out orders without spirit… as if they were simply waiting for the owner of the body to die so they could leave.

It didn't take me long to understand what had happened. Mirai—the girl I had become—was an orphan. Her entire family had died in a mysterious accident, leaving her under the custody of her uncle. An uncle who wanted nothing from her except her name and wealth. His wife? His son? No different. They drained her slowly, stealing everything while she was too unaware—or too exhausted—to resist.

But I wasn't Mirai.

And I wasn't weak.

I killed them.

One by one, with frightening calm. No mercy, no hesitation. Then, with chilling indifference, I spread the rumor:

Strangers in black masks broke into the estate, killed everyone, and vanished without a trace.

And just like that… I gained my freedom.

I sold everything of value, cut all ties to the past, and left.

My next destination was clear: Rain.

At first, I didn't dare approach him. But I watched from afar. What reassured me then was that the date of his death—the one I knew—was still far away. I still had time.

And so, I began to plan.

I needed power… influence. So I created a hidden organization. I worked in the shadows, gathered those I could trust, crafted a new identity, and built my own network.

This world uses magic stones instead of electricity—and that made things easier. Building devices, surveillance systems, laboratories… everything was possible with money, science, and the knowledge I brought from my world.

I invested in the southern continent, where laws don't ask where you come from. There, I bought a few islands, founded my first bases, research centers, and safe havens.

Then, from the black market, I acquired what I truly wanted: a large, secluded island, one that appears on no map.

It was the first thing I decided to give Rain.

Here… where no one can reach him.

Here… where I can give him a life that doesn't end in death.

Where he can live happily, in a world free from pain—until the time comes when I eliminate the crown prince, the princess, her kingdom, and everyone who ever hurt him. Only then… will I make him king.

And place the world at his feet.
