Christopher and others' holographic videos appeared one after another in the city council. The mayor looked at him and asked
"What are you planning to do now? If not, we might as well kill that Lin fellow."
In the past, people from Washington came over for business, but they were just here for money. Send them off with a little and they'd leave. But this Lin hasn't opened his mouth to ask for a penny since arriving, and they haven't even met much face-to-face.
They don't know what he really wants, or what he intends to do.
This complete detachment from their circle of interests makes the mayor feel particularly uneasy, like being stared at by a wild wolf.
"Kill him?"
Christopher's eyes were shadowy.
"If he were that easy to kill, Europeans would have done it already. Would they leave him for us?"
The mayor was still unwilling to give up.
"No matter what, he's just one person. Could he be faster than a rocket? One shot and we'd all have peace."
