Before him was a massive corpse pit, or more precisely, a crater left behind by a nuclear explosion. The pit was filled with the pungent stench of decay and the scorched smell of nuclear radiation, a mixture that created a nauseating odor.
The bottom of the crater was crisscrossed with ravines of varying depths, all packed with incomplete bodies. Some had been carbonized by the intense heat, resembling distorted black sculptures. Others were shattered by the nuclear blast, their organs spilling out and mixing with the blackish-red soil to emit a repulsive, bloody stench.
In the sky, thick dark clouds seemed to be twisted by some evil force. They formed bizarre, swirling vortexes that constantly roiled and surged. Occasionally, dark purple lightning flickered between the clouds, as if announcing to the world that something extraordinary was happening here.
