A week flew by, Xu Ying was finally discharged, and Jiang Cheng sent her home before leaving.
As he walked down the street, he suddenly felt someone was following him. Jiang Cheng stopped in his tracks, feeling it intensify. He squatted down quickly, pretending to tie his shoelace, and glimpsed suspicious people from the corner of the mirror behind him.
Jiang Cheng suddenly felt these people were definitely connected to those four burly men. Jiang Cheng thought to himself, he hadn't taken action or gone looking for them, yet they were delivering themselves to him.
Jiang Cheng thought, he'd ensure they won't even regret coming. He looked around for a secluded place to make his move. Just what he needed, he took a path with fewer people, and proceeded.
Jiang Cheng walked briskly because he wanted to avenge Xu Ying, give her an explanation, and ease his guilt a little, to feel better.
