"Some faces are borrowed from dreams. Others are stolen from fate."
The veil dropped.
Aarav's breath caught.
The woman standing before him had Selene's face—the same ethereal features, the same moonlit eyes that seemed to hold galaxies within them. But she was older. Hardened. Like a goddess carved from sorrow and glass.
She didn't smile.
"You shouldn't have remembered her," she said quietly."Now they'll come for you."
🌌 The Caravan of Mourning
The caravan halted around them like a funeral procession. Each carriage creaked with an unnatural hush, and the air turned cold—too cold for the desert.
Aarav clutched his memory-forged sword, still glowing faintly.
"Who are you?" he demanded. "Are you… Selene?"
The woman shook her head.
"I'm her echo. Her shadow. Her punishment."
Others stepped forward—figures whose bodies flickered like dying starlight. None of them had eyes. Just empty sockets filled with drifting constellations.
"We are the Starfallen," the woman said."And we are all that's left of the Moon Court."
🌓 The Lost History of Selene
As they led Aarav into the largest carriage, the world shifted.Literally.
Time bent around the vehicle like a soft ripple in reality. One moment he was in the desert. The next—he was beneath the ocean of stars, floating through a suspended memory.
A mirror-chamber of time.
And in the center, hovering in a magical seal:a giant celestial scroll.
It unfolded.
And began to tell the story of Selene's fall.
Long ago, there was a court above the sky, where Moon Spirits governed balance, memory, and time. Selene was the youngest and brightest among them—The Bearer of the Crown of Selene. But she broke the first law: She fell in love with a mortal stargazer.
For this, the Sovereigns of the Void shattered her name and banished her soul, fragmenting it across lifetimes.
Her memories were locked away. Her stargazer was cursed with rebirth. And the Moon Court... was burned from the sky.
🌒 Aarav's Curse
"Your name is written in her punishment," the woman said.
"You are the Stargazer Reborn."
Aarav's knees buckled. Visions crashed into his mind:
Him, in a hundred lives, watching the moon with longing.
Always just missing her.
Always forgetting when it mattered most.
"You were never meant to reach her in this life," she whispered.
"But you did. You kissed the Moon. And now… they will rewrite this world to erase you."
🌔 The Crown's Fracture
She handed him something wrapped in silver silk.
A broken crown. Glowing softly, made of three points. But one was missing.
"This is what you came for. The Crown of Selene. Or what's left of it.""To save her soul, you must find the missing piece. And you must survive the ones hunting you now—"
A chill swept through the chamber.
The constellations above shattered.
The carriage trembled.
And a new voice echoed from everywhere—and nowhere.
"You've interfered long enough, False Moon.""Return the boy... or be unmade."
🌕 Arrival of the Void Sovereigns
From the stars themselves, shadows poured down—long-limbed beings made of black flame and inverted light. Their presence made the air scream.
Aarav raised his sword.
The woman—the echo of Selene—stood before him, arms outstretched protectively.
"Run," she whispered."Run before they steal your memories again."
But it was too late.
The lead Sovereign stepped forward, lifted a hand—
—and the woman was erased in a blink. Not killed.Unwritten.
Aarav screamed.
But no sound came out.
The chamber collapsed into nothingness.
He fell—through stars, through time, through forgotten dreams—
—and landed on cold stone in a place that smelled of roses and blood.
A new voice whispered in his ear.
"We've been waiting, Stargazer.""Welcome to the Mirror Graveyard."
