Because there were heroic spirits guarding the manor, Yan Xiaobei gave up on sneaking in.
If he got discovered by the heroic spirits while sneaking in and stirred up trouble, that would be bad. He changed back into the appearance of a scruffy thirty‑year‑old uncle and swaggered over to press the manor's doorbell.
"Who is it?" A cute voice came through the doorbell.
"I'm Owelle's friend."
"Miss Owelle? All right, please wait a moment."
The footsteps gradually moved away, and a few minutes later, Yan Xiaobei heard someone coming back.
"Who are you? What do you want with me?" It was unmistakably Octavia's voice.
"Yo, it's me." Yan Xiaobei said.
"Zhuang… is that you, Zhuang? Are you okay, Zhuang? Don't go anywhere, wait right there, I'll come get you right away!"
Yan Xiaobei waited at the door for a bit. Octavia quickly ran out from the manor, brought Yan Xiaobei inside, and returned to the villa at the center of the manor.
