Chapter 3 - The Drowned Gate

Ren kaido walked along the broken dock, the rusted key in his pocket. The cold wind from the sea made his clothes stick to his skin. His shoes were already wet and every step felt harder than the last.

The moon was hidden behind thick clouds, and only the soft sound of waves breaking against stone kept him company.

He didn't know where he was going. But the key...it was pulling him. Not by force– but by strange feeling deep inside his chest.

Like something was waiting...

After some time, Ren found a staircase leading down, hidden behind the wall of sharp rocks. It looked old, ancient even, covered in green moss and seaweed. The air smelled of salt, blood and something worse.

Ren hesitated.

"Beyond the Drowned Gate lies the truth of your sin."

He remembered those words.

Taking a deep breath, he walked down the slippery steps.

One wrong step, and he could fall into the dark sea.

Finally,at the bottom, he saw it.

A door.

Huge and black, made of rotten wood and broken iron.

Chains wrapped around it, like the sea itself didn't want it to open.

In the center was a keyhole.

And just above it, words were carved;

"only the cursed may enter."

Ren's heart pounded. His hands were cold as ice.

He pulled out the rusted key from his pocket.

As he brought it close, the chains began to move– like they were alive. They hissed and rattled, trying to pull away, but the key forced them to stay still.

Ren pushed the key into the lock. It fit perfectly. And he opened it

The door trembled.

Then.... silence.

Ren stepped back, ready to run if needed.

Suddenly, black water began leaking from the sides of the gate. It didn't drip slowly – it rushed out like a river. It was thick, almost like oil, and it smelled like death.

From inside the door... Came a sound.

Not a growl.

Not a scream.

But a heartbeat.

"Thump - thump . Thump - thump."

Slow. Heavy. Alive.

Ren's legs wanted to run. But something darker– kept him frozen in place.

The door slowly opened, just like a crack.

And from that small opening ... a hand came out

It was pale. Long fingers. Black nails.

It didn't grab or harm Ren.

It simply pointed ... at him.

And then the voice spoke:

"you who carries the sin of revenge... will you still walk forward, knowing you may never return?"

Ren swallowed hard.

He thought about kaito. About his village. About the fire that destroyed everything he loved.

"I have nothing to return to," Ren whispered.

The hand moved back into the darkness.

The heartbeat grew louder.

Thump-thump. Thump-thump.

The door opened wider.

And for the first time, Ren saw inside.

There was no room.

No hall.

Only a black ocean stretching forever,

Under a sky filled with purple lightning.

This was the portal of new world, where Island floated on the water – small. Broken pieces of land, like ruins lost to time.

And in the center of that endless sea...

Something huge was moving.

Ren couldn't see it fully. Only it's shadow.

It was bigger than any ship, any building

He had ever seen.

It had wings made of bones and eyes that glowed like dying stars.

The Abyss.

The real Abyss.

Ren's body screamed to run.

But his mind... it whispered:

"This is where your true Grimoire lies."

He stepped forward.

The moment his foot touched the black water, the world spun.

The dock, the sea , the night – everything shattered like glass.

Ren woke up lying on stone.

He was on one of those floating islands.

Above him, the sky cracked with silent purple lightning.

Below him, the black sea roared without sound.

before he could understand anything, someone attacked him and he fell unconscious.

After some time when he regained consciousness, he heard that ,"welcome to this world "although he had not opened his eyes yet.

Then he slowly tried to open his eyes buthe could not able to see anything clearly because he was not fully conscious and he whispered, who are you?

And then he fainted.
