Chapter 70 - A weird lake ch70

A weird lake ch70

When Shinya had begun to fall jumping from the top of the waterfall, now reaching the bottom.

His whole body was covered head to toe with water looking around slowly to see Lucas and Irene around him. With Irene playing in the water and Lucas just staring almost watching her.

This suddenly reminded Shinya of his childhood of going to the lake with his family and playing in the water. Such fond memories that bring back good times. Though those times were now over and he must focus on the future in front of him.

"Hey Lucas, this might sound like a dumb idea, but I think I'm going to investigate the waterfall itself" said Shinya shouting to Lucas over in the distance trying to preoccupy Irene now preventing her from opening the chest bythem.

Taking a closer look at the waterfall now above him, he realized how truly spectacular it was. It was a beautiful blue color.

With sparkles that looked like it was diamonds, but it was just the water falling down. Water droplets as beautiful as gems and jewels from the deepest cavern.

As Lucas went closer to the water fall, he went right up to it and tasted the water. It tasted strange like a strongly familiar taste he couldn't quite put his finger on though.

It was almost like the taste of iron strangely enough?

It left a weirdly strong taste in his mouth. Just why was the taste so familiar? The weird taste of like an iron bar in his mouth.

Deciding to ignore it for the time being, he kept going forward now going through the water.

He wasn't sure just how many steps forward or how many feet he tried to go through to reach the back of the water fall but he eventually arrived to it.

When he arrived at the end of the waterfall, he saw it. A little island with what seemed like a corpse on it. The corpse was severely aged, seeming like it had been there for years centuries perhaps even. The bones breaking down and brittle enough that a single hit would shatter it entirely. Weirdly enough the corpse was laying down like it had accepted its fate entirely, it was strangely calming. The corpse looked like it belonged to a swordsman perhaps, with bandanas and swords attached to the back of the corpse. Though past the corpse was a scroll.

A scroll with letters written on it with a strange insignia around it.

With what seemed like a seal of approval it was a big red seal seeming like in order for the scroll to prove its authenticity it was the seal of approval to show what it was. With the scroll attached tightly to its hands. Shinya had the bright idea to decide to grab ahold of it.

As to why he decided to do this, he wasn't quite sure of himself, but he continued to try and get it out of the corpse's hands.

Slowly bit by bit it opened up the hand and grabbed the scroll away from the man. Eventually it opened all the way with the bones cracking and all. After grabbing out the scroll Shinya began to open the scroll just for there to be one small problem Afterall.

Well, although it seemed like a small problem, it was actually a huge one to be honest. It wasn't readable well at least in the English language someone couldn't understand it at all infact.

"Well yeah this would seem to be a huge problem so I guess I'll just take it with me then." Shinya said to himself just for him to walk away but before he could leave, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"You must find out the secret… of the prince…. And the kingdom…" said the corpse all while multiple insects like centipedes and spiders were crawling out of its mouth as its eyes lit up with a white light before falling back down to the ground.

Completely scared out of his fucking mind now shinya decided to disregard it and what happened and just left the area after that. All the while thinking it was extremely creepy in the first place and that a thing like that existed here.

Ignoring it now and getting it out of his mind, Shinya jumped off the little island and went back underneath the waterfall now arriving back to where he was once again.
