Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 – The Princess Has Landed… In My Bathtub?!

Even though Haruno had already seen a beauty like Ryouko in an indecent state, the girl now sitting in his bathtub brought everything to an entirely new level—as if reality itself had glitched to deliver her here.

Her long, vibrant pink hair flowed down her back and over her shoulders, wet strands clinging sensually to her flawless skin while others floated like delicate petals across the water's surface. The bathroom's dim lighting only amplified her ethereal glow. Her skin looked almost luminescent, impossibly smooth and radiant. Most striking, however, were the parts of her body that weren't hidden by water—ample curves and bare, rosy peaks proudly on display without a hint of shame.

She was completely naked, her posture curiously innocent: legs tucked modestly beneath her, hands gently resting on the water's surface as if she were simply enjoying a warm soak.

Haruno couldn't move. He couldn't even blink. In the manga, Rito would've instantly turned away or run out screaming. But here, Haruno was frozen—entranced by the vision of perfection in front of him.

And then he noticed it. A tail. A sleek, black, heart-tipped tail swaying lazily behind her, flicking tiny droplets of water through the air. That small, devilish detail confirmed everything.

There was no mistaking it. This wasn't just some random intergalactic intruder.

She was Lala Satalin Deviluke—daughter of the universe's most beautiful queen and one of To Love-Ru's main heroines. And now… she was in his bathtub.

"Hm, they were so persistent…" Lala muttered with a casual sigh, stretching her arms lazily above the bathwater as if she hadn't just appeared naked in a stranger's tub. She still hadn't noticed Haruno—or perhaps she simply didn't care.

But then, her large, emerald-green eyes blinked and finally locked onto his.

"…Hm?"

There was a moment of stillness. A second where the steam in the room seemed to pause, the faint drip of water echoed louder, and their gazes intertwined.

Haruno's heart skipped.

Those brilliant, sparkling eyes stared straight into him—through him—and his mind went blank. It was just like before. That same cosmic pulse, like two fated stars colliding, flooded his chest. A rush of warmth, joy, confusion, and longing exploded all at once.

That feeling. That unmistakable sign.

Another soulmate.

His breath caught in his throat, and even with his brain screaming about her nudity and the absurdity of the situation, his heart was already racing for an entirely different reason.

Lala tilted her head, her long pink hair sliding softly over her shoulders. Her lips curled into a bright, amused smile—but then her eyes widened, just a fraction at the same time as she stared into Haruno for the first time.

It hit her too.

That strange warmth in her chest, that fluttering of something powerful and unfamiliar. For all her brilliance as an inventor and her carefree nature, she had never felt this before. Her tail gave a curious twitch. Her heart beat a little faster.

"Huh…?" she muttered softly, blinking in surprise. Her gaze stayed locked onto Haruno as if trying to understand why the universe had just shifted beneath her feet.

And then, without even realizing it, she smiled—not just amused, but touched, delighted… enchanted.

"You're funny. What's your name?"

Haruno's voice trembled as he answered, "Haruno… Aizawa."

They didn't need to say it out loud. The spark in their eyes said it all.

The bond was there. Soulmate. Fated. For Lala, the one and only person she would ever love.

And Haruno already knew—this chaos was just beginning.

Especially when there was already another soulmate in his home.

"Haruno… huh…" Lala repeated his name softly, as if trying to etch it into memory. Her bright emerald eyes lingered on him with innocent curiosity, and something else—something warmer.

"Well, I'm really happy to meet you too," Haruno said, his gaze averted again. "But maybe we should continue this talk somewhere more… appropriate. Like, not in the bathroom."

Lala tilted her head, then let out a sudden giggle. "Ah! You're right! I can't believe I've been sitting here this whole time like this!" She quickly stood, reaching for the towel Haruno offered her. Though she wrapped it around herself, it barely covered what it needed to—leaving her long legs, shoulders, and much of her flawless skin still on display. Water droplets clung to her like crystals catching the bathroom light.

Normally, Lala wouldn't think much of being seen like this. She was a Devilukean princess, after all, and had always been far more carefree than modest. But now, for some reason, she felt… flustered. Her cheeks turned a faint pink, and her fingers nervously tightened the towel.

'Why am I like this? He's just an Earthling boy… But he's looking at me like I really matter. Like I'm the only one he sees. And somehow… he's quick-thinking, reliable, and just so kind. Ugh… It feels… kinda nice. Hehehe… Huh, what's happening to me?.' Her heart skipped, then stumbled. 'No, no, no! This isn't the time for this! And why did it have to be when I was soaking wet and totally unprepared!? Peke, this is definitely your fault!'

Love is blind, or so some people say. And perhaps that was exactly what Lala was feeling right now. A simple gesture from Haruno—just offering her a towel and turning away to give her space—wasn't anything grand or flashy. Yet, it made her heart flutter in a way she had never experienced before.

"You can dry off here while I grab you something to wear," Haruno said, giving her a small smile before turning to leave.

As he stepped out, his thoughts shifted— Right… Ryouko-sensei is still here. I need to tell her immediately.

Two soulmates in the same house? That was either a dream… or a disaster waiting to happen.

"Ah, wait… I don't think you need to prepare clothes for me," Lala said, taking a few quick steps after Haruno as he tried to leave the bathroom. "I just need Peke to come over." Her voice was light, but her feet moved on their own—instinctively following him. Even though her face was still flushed from earlier, and her heart hadn't quite calmed down, she couldn't explain why she didn't want to be apart from him just yet.

Unlike the mature and composed Ryouko, Lala was still young, still new to the overwhelming emotion that buzzed quietly inside her chest. She didn't recognize it as love—not yet—but she was honest with herself: she wanted to be close to him, to talk more, to feel that strange warmth a little longer.

Haruno, meanwhile, had hastily wrapped a towel around his waist—though it was clearly a spare and far too small. He glanced back at Lala, uncertain. "Eh, but… I don't think it's a good idea."

"It's fine, really… Besides, I haven't even properly introduced myself yet," she said, reaching out and gently grabbing his hand to stop him.

"I'm Lala… from the planet Deviluke," she said brightly, her voice ringing with the same cheerful, straightforward tone fans of the series would recognize. She stepped a bit closer, eyes shimmering.

Haruno blinked, pretending to be confused. 'Right, I already know that—but I can't act like I do. Gotta play the clueless card.'

"You mean… you're an alien?" he asked, raising an eyebrow in mock disbelief.

Lala giggled. "Yup! From your point of view, I'm the alien. From mine, you are!"

She leaned forward, face still pink, and tugged the towel just slightly down on one side—not too much, but enough to give a glimpse of the tail that peeked out from just above her shapely backside. It was long, flexible, reddish, and tipped with a cute heart-shaped spade. She even wiggled it proudly.

"See? I told you," she beamed.

Haruno could only stare, caught between awe, amusement, and a rising panic at how fast things were escalating… again.

Meanwhile, Ryouko, who had been resting in the living room, perked up the moment she heard voices and splashing coming from the bathroom. At first, she thought it was just Haruno talking to himself out of habit. But the more she listened, the more the unfamiliar, other people sound and the unmistakable sound of movement.

Her brows furrowed. There's someone? In the bathroom? Instinctively, the worst-case scenarios ran through her mind. Was Haruno being attacked? Was it some kind of alien infiltration? She didn't hesitate any longer.

Ryouko opened the bathroom door swiftly—only to stop dead in her tracks.

The scene before her was straight out of a chaotic rom-com: Haruno stood stiff as a statue, barely managing to keep a too-small towel around his waist, while right next to him, a stunningly beautiful pink-haired girl beamed proudly, her own towel wrapped precariously around her curves. The girl had her back turned slightly, giving Ryouko an accidental full view of her shapely, bare backside as she tugged the towel to show off her… tail. A long, heart-tipped tail that playfully swayed and flicked water droplets in the air.

Ryouko's brain short-circuited. She blinked, once. Twice.

"Ah, Ryouko-sensei… could you help me out for a moment?" Haruno said quickly, his voice laced with nervous energy as he tried to defuse the tension before anything exploded—figuratively or literally.

He glanced nervously between the two girls, silently praying this wouldn't spiral into some chaotic catfight. The last thing he needed was Ryouko losing her composure and unleashing her alien strength out of jealousy—or Lala, who might not even realize the gravity of the situation, responding in her usual unpredictable and outrageous fashion.

Haruno doubted things would go that far… but still, he could only hope that nothing would happen.
