Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Wrath of a Dying Star

Eternis stood calmly, his expression cold and timeless.

He began to speak, his voice echoing through the sky.

"I wasn't always like this.

Once, I was... complete. But when I created your mother and father, I lost 50% of my power — 25% to your father, 25% to your mother."

He looked down at Aarav.

"I thought they would kill me and rule in my place.

To prevent that, I separated myself from them and focused on regaining my power.

I successfully amplified my strength — I reached 99%. But in the process… something went wrong.

That remaining 1% — the piece of me I couldn't recover — it became... you."

Aarav's eyes widened.

Eternis continued:

"Without that 1%, my 99% power became corrupted.

I changed. I became what I am now. Evil... arrogant... obsessed with domination.

The one standing before you now — this is merely my lost fragment."

At that moment, Eternis's body shifted —

His full corrupted form returned, towering and monstrous.

"You thought your parents could kill me with their self-destruction?"

He laughed.

"Fools. That wasn't enough."

Aarav suddenly felt two forces stir within him —

One of Purity and the other... Time Travel.

But he had no idea how to use them.

Eternis advanced.

"I will consume you now, Aarav.

That last 1% of power will return to me… and I will reclaim my throne over the universe."

Dark tendrils wrapped around Aarav.

In that moment, Aarav's memories began flashing —

Saanvi's smile.

His sisters' laughter.

His parents' sacrifice.

The world he had loved… and lost.

He heard their voices in his heart:

"Believe in yourself. Focus your energy. Trust your soul."

A single tear escaped his eye —

And then a burst of divine light exploded from within him.

Eternis recoiled.

Aarav vanished… and reappeared outside his grasp.

He was no longer the same.

He had become a Divine Being —

With enough strength to face Eternis's 10% form head-on.

Eternis, surprised, smirked.

"I expected this.

You are now approaching 50–60% of my full power.

If only I could've forced this potential from you sooner..."

Eternis evolved again —

Unleashing his 50% form:

Divine wings, radiant eyes, and catastrophic destruction energy.

Aarav, burning with rage, launched forward.

Their battle shook the heavens.

Strike after strike, blow after blow — Aarav was holding his own.

Eternis's expression shifted from curiosity to concern.

"His power... it keeps growing.

If I don't end this now…"

He ascended to his 75% form, granting him the power of creation itself.

With a wave of his hand, he summoned 50 beings — clones of Zabuza fused with the Real Zombie King's essence —

Each more powerful than the original.

But Aarav didn't flinch.

"You've just made your biggest mistake."

With a confident smile, he began destroying them —

One by one —

Each time pulling a crystal from their bodies, absorbing it.

His power multiplied —

3×… 10×… 50×… 150× stronger.

Eternis laughed nervously.

"You're using my own power... against me?"

Now furious, Eternis entered his final form.

The pressure released was enough to mimic the explosion of one million nuclear bombs.

Everything around was decimated.

Dust, ash, silence…

"He must be dead," Eternis muttered with a dark grin.

But a voice cut through the silence:

"If dying was so easy for me…

then my parents' sacrifice would've meant nothing."

"I made a promise...

I will fight until I tear you from existence."

Eternis trembled for the first time.

"This is what I've been searching for… a real challenge."

The battle began —

Every punch, every strike echoed like nuclear fire.

Their duel went beyond physical — it was soul vs. godhood.

But slowly, Aarav began to weaken.

His strength waned.

Eternis remained firm.

"Didn't you wonder how I survived the last explosion?

I sacrificed 25% of my power to shield myself.

And now… I reclaim it."

With a surge of light, Eternis restored his full might.

Aarav, battered, called upon his Purity power —

Healed his wounds,

And regained the strength of his parents' legacy.

Eternis launched forward —

Aarav summoned his final weapon:

"Death Scythe!"

With divine fury, he sliced Eternis in half.

But —

In his dying rage, Eternis launched one last full-powered attack.

Aarav couldn't stop it.

The impact threw him across the broken land.

Darkness consumed his vision.

And then…

Aarav opened his eyes.

He stood… somewhere familiar.

The winds felt warm.

The air was calm.

A voice whispered in the distance —

One he hadn't heard in a long time.

He turned slowly, stunned.

"Where… am I?"

To be continued…
