CLANK!
Sparks erupted as Revenant Fang crashed against black, obsidian claws.
The sound echoed through the third floor, shaking dust from the rafters. Noel's boots skidded across the warped wood, but he held firm. His arm trembled slightly from the impact, but his stance was solid.
Across from him, Lereus stood with one claw raised, casually deflecting the blow. His grin widened.
"Oh, like I said—you're an interesting one. To break free from my blood control? Impressive. I knew it. You're unique."
He took a step forward, eyes narrowing.
"And it was you, wasn't it? The one who ruined everything."
Noel raised Revenant Fang again, smirking.
"You thought I'd let you keep sacrificing people like cattle? For what—some pathetic blood ritual? You're insane."
He shifted his weight, blade ready.
"Tell your boss he's gonna have to try harder next time. Hahaha."
The amusement vanished from Lereus's face.
"I have no boss."
Noel's smile sharpened.
