Eve POV:
I had never thought of myself as particularly graceful. Sure, I could perform spells that would make most witches jealous, but when it came to basic coordination, I often found myself stumbling or tripping over my own feet. And today? Well, today was proving to be one of those unfortunate days where every single thing seemed to go wrong.
The first one, the sneezing menace, was particularly fond of getting into trouble. I had barely gotten a few moments of warm water on my sore muscles before he started inching toward the pool's edge, his little wings flapping and twitching with excitement. His siblings followed closely behind, too curious for their own good. And despite my best efforts to tell them no — to firmly push them away from the water with my outstretched hands — they just weren't listening. They were babies. And, as much as I hated to admit it, I was more or less their godmother. They trusted me.
