The taste of this thing isn't great; it's obviously instant. Before, knowing she liked soymilk, the old mansion specially set up a small stone mill, with someone dedicated to grind it by hand. Every soybean was carefully selected, and even the deep-fried dough sticks had a designated master to fry them. Yet, she never seemed to eat so happily.
"It's convenient and not expensive. This is it, plus this..." Avery Jane pointed at several items on the tray, speaking indistinctly: "All of this is just over ten bucks, actually that's on the expensive side. Where I used to live, I could get a big bowl of soymilk and dough sticks for only five bucks." For a normal office worker, spending over ten bucks on breakfast is unimaginable; it's considered a luxury. Unlike him, who has breakfast spread like a full banquet?
