Charlotte Miller had never longed for something so much. She hoped Atlas Hallow would walk over with a smile, pat her head, and say, "Charlotte, I was just kidding with you, why are you so scared?"
But would he? No, he wouldn't, because he was Atlas Hallow. He was a master negotiator, a businessman who left nothing unconsumed. He forced her into the most desperate abyss, waiting for her to crawl to him, begging and agreeing to all his terms.
