"How's it going, Xiao Wang? Old lady, any issues with your medical check-up?"
Jiang Lei ran over, panting, without stopping along the way.
"Director Jiang, I have no issues. The doctors and nurses checked me, not a single problem, except for some scratches on my palms."
Old Song answered herself, rather than letting the head nurse speak.
The head nurse chuckled, "That's true, Director Jiang. Don't worry, the old lady is perfectly fine; she's in great health. Director Jiang, you did a good deed without making a fuss, so we all mistakenly thought she was a relative of yours."
Jiang Lei felt a bit embarrassed, scratching his head; he never intended to mention it, as it was just a chance encounter.
He's the type to be caring, afraid the old lady might be in danger if she had fallen to the ground. He insisted she have a check-up, without telling anyone about it.
After all, it wasn't some glorious deed.
