The cold breeze that evening makes XiangXiang sneeze again and again. "Ahhh...what a trouble" He wiped his sinus that about to flowing down towards his mouth.
"Cold?"
WenWen bent a little to look at XiangXiang face. His nose already red. XiangXiang shake his head.
"Not that bad. Just a little running nose due the cold breeze. I will be fine after the sun rises."
XiangXiang rise his head. Dark. Not even a single white cloud there. All dark and damp.
"Why we have to running in this kind of wheatear? JiaJia ge!"
XiangXiang walk back inside their hostel. A simple house with a small garden that looks old yet still comfy for all seven of them to stay and shares their dreams.
"Can't we just skip our running routine for today? Looks like the sky is about to rain"
JiaJia rise his head and looked at XiangXiang face. Looking at XiangXiang clown like nose make JiaJia pursed lips to hold back his laugh.
"Really? How come?"
JiaJia walk to the door and look up to the dark sky. It's truly dark. JiaJia look at XiangXiang who sneeze all his uncomfortable nose. His sneeze sound small and cute. Just like cat. JiaJia smile.
"Okay then. I will call Mr Ruirui to tell him about it. WenWen! What are you still doing out there? Come back inside."
JiaJia drag XiangXiang together with him back and sit on the comfy sofa.
"Good morning Mr Ruirui. The wheatear is bad today. So we cancel our morning running."
Tell JiaJia over the phone. His other hand about to caressed XiangXiang hair to comfort his uncomfortable nose. But WenWen quickly came and sitting between them. JiaJia mouth wide open with WenWen treatment. WenWen face look totally innocent. He just sat there, take his phone from his pocket and scrolling the screen with his poker face.
JiaJia shake his head and move a little for WenWen. WenWen pursed his lips in satisfying. "Unbelievable. Youngster these day."
"Are you here me JiaJia?"
Voice from the other end of the line.
"I'm sorry. What is it?"
JiaJia back to focus on the phone.
"Just stay at home. We will practice this evening at the jym. Don't forget to tell the others to."
"Yes Mr Ruirui"
JiaJia nodded his head. End the line and lay his head on WenWen shoulder to rest his tiredness.
"Wow! It's downpour."
XinXin came with a cup of coffee. He sip his coffee and sit beside JiaJia who lay his head with his eyes half asleep on WenWen shoulder.
XinXin pat JiaJia shoulder. JiaJia open his eyes. He smile.
"Want some?"
XinXin shove his coffee to JiaJia. JiaJia rise his head. Take a sip before he stick out his tongue.
"Hot!"
"Of course. I just brewed it. How was it? It tastes good, right?"
XinXin smile proudly. Totally confident with his brewing skills. JiaJia nodded.
"Where's the others?"
JiaJia look around. The other three nowhere to be seen.
"Still sleeping. You know them. Even there was a meteor falling beside them, they wouldn't care and kept sleeping."
Utter XinXin and take a sip his coffee. Being a senior for those kind of junior is a headache. Every morning is a war. Need a lot of energy to wake them up. But miraculously, JiaJia never got a trouble to wake them up. Sometimes, XinXin wonder What power does JiaJia have?. His life totally kind of smooth without a flaws. He act slow yet meaningful and accurate. Totally far from him who always messed up everything.
"Ahh... I am hungry"
Said WenWen. He rubs his empty stomach.
"You already have your breakfast right?"
Ask JiaJia.
"But I'm still hungry. I am still growing after all"
WenWen make a puppy eyes towards JiaJia. Wish JiaJia will cook something for him.
JiaJia sigh. He totally lost with WenWen unlimited stomach. He gaze at XiangXiang who was busy playing his mobile phone.
"How about you XiangXiang? Hungry?"
XiangXiang shake his head.
"I wanna cook noodles. Wanna some?"
JiaJia coax XiangXiang to eat. Eating with everyone in the rainy day will make you feel warm and comfy. XiangXiang nodded. He know JiaJia will kept asking if he still refuse. He wanna join them to eat or not he will decide it after that. As long as JiaJia stop asking and save the hassled.
JiaJia stand up and go to the kitchen following by XinXin. XinXin know that JiaJia is tired. JiaJia never said it out loud, but from his gesture, XinXin know how tired JiaJia could be. He just cooking for their breakfast and now, for this. "Unlimited kindness will break you down someday"
"You wanna add cabbage or bak choi?"
XinXin open the freezer. He explored the entire freezer to finds something best for their instant noodles.
"Bak choi. Kept the cabbage for tonight."
JiaJia boil some water in the pot and unwrapped four packs of instant noodles.
"You watch the pot. I wanna wake up the others."
Asked JiaJia. XinXin nodded.
JiaJia walk upstairs. Enter the trio room. He walk towards LinLin and Yaya double decker bed. He pinch LinLin nose to wake him up.
LinLin who can't breathe from JiaJia pinch, open his eyes. He looked at JiaJia mother like face. The anger he felt just now all gone after seeing those face. LinLin hugs JiaJia arms. He want back to sleep.
"Wake up guys. Its noon already."
JiaJia pinch Yaya nose.
"Argh...!!!"
Yaya yell after he can't breathe.
"Wake up."
Said JiaJia again and slap Yaya butt. JiaJia turns to waking up YuanYuan. But YuanYuan already sit on his bed with his bedhead. Yaya loud scream already enough to wake him up. The best alarm clock. And it's free.
"Wake up. Go wash up and have your breakfast. I just cook noodles. You want some?"
The three of them nodded in sync. Still half asleep. JiaJia smile. His juniors cuteness is overwhelming. Expecially when they're struggling like that.
"Don't forget tidy-up your bed."
Said JiaJia before he left the room and the three child like chic in daze.
In the kitchen, WenWen who already starving helped XinXin to cook their instant noodles. XiangXiang also helped them even his face shown how he don't want to be there.
All done and the fragrance instant noodles being served in the middle of dining table and take less then ten minutes to be clear. Rainy day really make you hungry. That's not a lie.
After eating, YuanYuan and Yaya do the dishes while LinLin tidy-up the kitchen. The others four member make a preparation for their small meeting at the living room.
This is JiaJia first meeting after he became team leader. As usual, he looked as calm as mossy pond. And unbelievably, all the naughty juniors just listened to him like a chic.
XinXin gritted his teeth. Really wanna open up JiaJia to look what is inside him that make him so special.
"Everyone here already?"
JiaJia sit at the centre and pick a few blank sheets of paper.
"I'm here"
XiangXiang rise his hand.
"Me either"
WenWen came and squeezed beside XiangXiang. The chair is to small for both of them. WenWen just smile after XiangXiang glaring at him. "Haaa...childish"
"Here."
YuanYuan and Yaya came after finishing their dishes. LinLin came afterwards and squeezed between YuanYuan and Yaya. Its more warm and comfy that way.
"Okay. Let's we start our warm meeting"
JiaJia passed a sheet of blank paper to everyone.
"Like everyone know, our old team already disband last year before five of you start your first training. "
JiaJia look at everyone reaction. Everyone just kept quiet. The dullness showed on their face. He know how everyone feeling. But for him there must be a reason why his senior left their team for another's. Its hurtful indeed. But, its best to kept moving and shows him that they are unstoppable. JiaJia grip onto the pen at his hand.
"I make a suggestion to Mr Ruirui. I wanna create a brand new team."
JiaJia look at all the sullen face in front of him.
"And he agreed."
JiaJia look at XinXin.
"But, I also want to hear your thoughts. Is everyone agreed?"
JiaJia stares at everyone face one after another. He really wants to make sure everyone was okay with it. He don't want some of them feels being left behind or uncomfortable. His dream was create a warm team that brings everyone together like a family.
Everyone nodded in silence. The silence that make JiaJia heart felt heavy.
"Really?"
Everyone nodded.
"Okay. Now write down the best name for our new team."
Said JiaJia with smile. Everyone eyes on JiaJia face. Unbelievably. JiaJia look back in puzzled. "Did I said something wrong?"
"Are you sure we can name our team?"
Ask YuanYuan. He totally look at lost. He is first year student. How could he got the power to name their team. Its was impossible.
JiaJia gating more puzzled. "Is that weired? What so weired about name our new team?"
JiaJia nodded.
"We never do that before. It was senior Jiang who naming our old team."
Said XinXin in the end. He start to feels confused with JiaJia who far too different from his senior.
JiaJia smile. Warm and put everyone at ease. And, unconsciously XinXin heart starts beating fast and loud. XinXin punch his tight. This feeling needs to be soothe before its become wild. XinXin bite his lips while his eyes exploring every corner of JiaJia features.
"Remember. We're new team here. New team needs new ways. New law."
JiaJia smile while rasing his left brow. XinXin swallowed his saliva. "This is insane."
"The enough. Just help me to create new name for our new team"
JiaJia starts writes down his idea and follow by everyone.
"Werewolf Blast"
Suggest WenWen. He smile proudly.
"Ridiculous!"
XiangXiang thrown his pen right on WenWen face. "Childish"
"Caterpillar"
Said Yaya loud and clear. Everyone eyes on his innocent face.
"What? We dance softly and swaying following the tempo like a caterpillar right?"
Said Yaya seeking to be punch.
"Only you dance like a caterpillar"
Said XiangXiang.
"So I'm good"
Yaya give XiangXiang his tongue and make XiangXiang lost his patient.
"Flexx"
Said XinXin right after XiangXiang want to fight back Yaya treatment. Everyone eyes on XinXin poker face.
"Sound good."
Said JiaJia. Everyone nodded. It was better to let their senior to do that kind of jobs before they started having their first World war.
JiaJia write down something. He smile satisfyingly.
"Our treadmark."
JiaJia shown what was He write about.
"Flexx to shine"
"Nice and pinpoint."
XinXin caressed JiaJia warm back. "Good to have you" XinXin smile proudly.
