Chapter 206 - Chapter 206: The Ōtsutsuki on the Moon — A New Lottery Chance!

Chapter 206: The Ōtsutsuki on the Moon — A New Lottery Chance!

"Reviving the clan, huh? Excellent idea, Tsunade. I think revival is very important," Renji said quickly.

Of course, revival didn't necessarily have to mean that kind of revival.

Just look at Sasuke — he said he'd "revive the Uchiha," and all he did was marry Sakura, have one daughter, and disappear for years. Maybe that was a more modern way to continue a clan?

Tsunade folded her arms. "I've realized the Senju shouldn't vanish from history. Grandfather said the clan should merge with Konoha — but since Konoha itself no longer exists, that doesn't really apply anymore."

It was a decision that technically defied Hashirama's will, yet somehow also honored it.

Renji raised an eyebrow, uneasy. "And… how exactly do you plan to 'revive' it?"

He suddenly had a bad feeling. But as a former fan, how could he refuse his idol's "request"? Surely this was a moral duty!

"I haven't decided yet," Tsunade said with a faintly mischievous smile. Her lips curved slightly, her eyes glinting with unspoken meaning.

She turned, heels clicking crisply across the floor, and left. Renji sat there dazed.

Wait—what? He'd already prepared himself mentally, ready to "learn a foreign language" with her if necessary—and now she was walking away?

No, no, she couldn't just stop there! They could at least try to revive the clan a little, right?

Renji slumped back in his chair, staring at the ceiling. He finally understood—this woman was doing it on purpose.

What a dangerous woman.

"Renji, your expression doesn't look good," said Shikaku as he entered, eyeing him curiously. He'd seen Tsunade leaving a moment ago and waited before coming in.

And now, seeing Renji slouched in his chair, he couldn't help but make… certain assumptions.

Renji sighed. "Shikaku, I can practically feel the bad thoughts radiating off you."

Shikaku raised a brow, feigning innocence, but the smirk on his face gave him away.

"Renji, a word of advice. You should be careful from now on. If your relationship with Tsunade really has reached that stage, you'd better make things clear soon."

As someone who once belonged to Konoha, Shikaku honestly hoped Renji would choose someone from their village—even if Tsunade's age difference made that complicated.

Still, he knew the moment word of Renji's marriage plans got out, chaos would erupt across the entire Shinobi Nation.

Renji rolled his eyes. "See? This is exactly why everyone's gossiping! You're all turning my relationship with Tsunade into something impure!"

He knew he'd have to make a decision eventually—just like Naruto after the Fourth Ninja War. Back then, Naruto had been swarmed with admirers until he finally got engaged, and only then did things quiet down.

Shikaku nearly burst out laughing. Pure relationship? He wanted to tell Renji that nobody believed that anymore.

"Renji, just think it through. The longer you wait, the worse it'll get," Shikaku said, his tone that of a seasoned veteran.

Renji shot back, "Says the man who's completely controlled by his wife."

Shikaku's face twitched. He wanted to argue—but couldn't. After all, it was true.

Marriage was troublesome.

"Alright, enough about my private life," Renji said, waving dismissively. "I'll handle it. For now, I've got business elsewhere. You take charge while I'm gone."

He was about to take Hiashi to the moon.

Shikaku nodded. "Understood." He'd wanted to say more, but swallowed the words. Some things were better left alone.

"Oh, one more thing," Shikaku added. "About Shikamaru—he's lazy, but if you're planning to train him, don't hold back. Same goes for the other two."

He spoke on behalf of the Nara, Akimichi, and Yamanaka families. They were still shocked that Renji had personally chosen their children as students but also proud.

This meant their clans wouldn't be sidelined under the new order.

"Got it," Renji said. "Married men sure do nag a lot."

He waved lazily and walked off toward the Hyūga compound.

Hiashi had been waiting for hours. Renji had mentioned taking him to the moon, and though it sounded absurd, curiosity had won out. After consulting the clan elders, he'd decided to go.

Maybe the moon really could be reached.

"Ready?" Renji asked.

Hiashi nodded solemnly. "Let's go."

Just as they were about to leave, Tsunade appeared at the gate.

Renji blinked in surprise. "You?"

"What? You said you'd take me to see it, didn't you?" she replied coolly, hands on her hips.

She hadn't planned to come, but curiosity—and the thought of keeping an eye on him—got the better of her.

As the three stood together, Shikaku, who had followed to see them off, muttered under his breath, smirking:

"So it's true then… they really do have something going on."

Hiashi stood silently, but in his heart, his suspicions about Renji and Tsunade deepened. So it's true—they really do have something going on.

Perhaps feeling pressured by the rumors, Tsunade decided not to leave Renji's side for even a moment. Judging by her look, Hiashi's assumption wasn't wrong.

"Let's go," Renji said flatly. Whether there was something between them or not, it now looked like there was anyway. He was too tired to explain. Whoever started this rumor better hope he never found out who—they wouldn't end well.

Following Renji's lead, the three of them soon arrived at the entrance to the space portal. Passing through it, they emerged on the surface of the moon.

From this distance, gazing down at the blue Earth, both Tsunade and Hiashi were struck speechless by awe.

So the moon was real—and reachable.

But as they looked around, the barren, silent landscape made them uneasy. Why had Renji brought them here?

Hiashi found the situation bizarre, yet Tsunade's mind was racing with something else. If, as Renji said, the Hyūga were descendants of Ōtsutsuki Hamura, then could there still be other Ōtsutsuki clansmen living on the moon?

She had once thought Renji's story about "aliens and divine bloodlines" was a fabrication to deceive her. But now that she stood on the moon herself, could it be that everything he said was actually true?

"Hiashi," Renji said, "use your Byakugan. See what's around us."

Renji's own perception had already picked up traces of life—Ōtsutsuki clansmen still active on the lunar surface. The branch and main families both existed, which meant this was before their self-destruction.

Perfect. The timing couldn't have been better. He could turn this into a powerful lesson for Hiashi.

But before they could take another step, they were surrounded.

Dozens of pale-eyed figures emerged from the shadows, forming a circle around them.

Recognizing the unmistakable eyes of the Byakugan, Hiashi froze, mouth slightly open.

Wait—there were this many Byakugan users on the moon?

Why had he never known about this?

He instinctively turned to Renji. Surely, he would explain what was going on.

"Surface-dwellers… Hyūga?" one of the lunar men spoke, ignoring Renji and Tsunade and fixing his gaze on Hiashi instead.

So they knew about the Hyūga.

It turned out the moon dwellers had long been aware of the world below. After the Gedo Statue was summoned away, they'd sent scouts to investigate the Earth's surface, learning of the Hyūga who carried their diluted bloodline.

"You know of us?" Hiashi asked, startled. "Then you are… also Hyūga?"

The man shook his head. "No. We are not Hyūga. We are Ōtsutsuki."

The crowd parted, and from within walked a tall, calm figure—the head of the lunar main family, Ōtsutsuki Ukki.

He regarded them without hostility. Anyone who could reach the moon through the ancient portal clearly possessed some understanding.

"Our family on Earth changed its name long ago," Ukki explained. "Those you call the Hyūga are our descendants—those who remained behind when our ancestors came here with Hamura."

That single revelation made Hiashi's heart tremble.

So the Hyūga were… descended from the Ōtsutsuki?

For a brief, irrational moment, pride swelled in him. His clan's origin wasn't the humble lineage others thought—it was celestial!

Renji gave him a side glance. You're proud of this? he thought wryly.

"Clan leader," one of the younger moon-born spoke anxiously. "If they've come through the portal, that means the pathway has been discovered! The Earth dwellers might come again!"

Ukki's expression hardened slightly. It was true—the lunar portal was meant for observation, not contact. The very fact that Renji and his companions had found it meant the veil between worlds was broken.

Renji crossed his arms. "You left that gateway yourselves. If you didn't want to be found, you shouldn't have built it in the first place."

The remark struck home. Ukki nodded slowly. "You speak wisely. Since the path exists, others may indeed come. Then tell me, child—what is your purpose here?"

Renji smiled faintly. "At first, I only wanted to see your situation for myself. But now that I have, it seems your main and branch families aren't exactly at peace."

Of course, his real reason was simpler—he'd come expecting to find ruins. If the Ōtsutsuki had perished, he could have used their downfall as a cautionary tale for Hiashi.

But since they were alive, and the branch family's rebellion was just beginning, this opened an entirely new possibility.

The so-called "fusion of the eyes" was still underway—the stage before the Tenseigan.

If he played this right, he might even alter Toneri's future… and perhaps gain a new reward from the system.

Ukki's gaze sharpened. "You seem to know much about us."

Renji smiled calmly. "I know about the Ōtsutsuki, the Gedo Statue you guard, and even the one you keep sealed here. So, won't you invite us in?"

He had originally come for confirmation. Now he saw an opportunity for cooperation—and maybe, another roll of the divine lottery.

Ukki hesitated only briefly before nodding. "Very well. Come."

The lunar air was still and cold, but Renji's lips curved into a satisfied grin.

A new alliance, a new mystery… and perhaps, another jackpot waiting to be drawn.
